That's what happens when you forget the third stripe.Wow the 720S is out of this world. Didn't expect to see it beat the GT2 RS on a track!

Fair point, but I don't find those numbers from AMS representative for both cars, especially for the Performante. Same outlet, yes, but were conditions similar? I guess not?
OK then, Sport Auto tested both cars head to head a while ago (same testing methods as AMS, 2 persons, full tank)
Performante: 0-100 in 2,8s / 0-200 in 9,1s / 100-200 in 6,3s
GT2 RS: 0-100 in 2,9s / 0-200 in 8,5s / 100-200 in 5,6s
Difference is not that big (full second in 100-200, only 0,7s), but still there. Performante is still a great car, no wonder it is slower than 700hp turbocharged 911. It has different things to offer.
And it's probably only the electronic limiter that allows them to beat it on top speed.Still 720S is a league above these two in straight line speed. It should be considered as a "High End Supercar" sitting right between the line of Supercar and Hypercar, since it even beats more expensive cars like the Aventador and 812SF in a straight line except for top speed.
Different day, different driver?I'm wondering if something has changed in the track.
How could the new Gt 2 Rs be only 0.4 seconds faster than the previous one?
Old GT 2 RS 1.49.5 and the new one 1.49.1??????
In short configuration the new one is 4.6 seconds faster, in Sachsenring 7 seconds faster and in Hockenheim GP track only 0.4 seconds ?????
Remember that in 2009 a stock Aprilia RSV 1000 lapped this track in 1.48.06.
It's like the Nurburgring GP (3.7km) times. How is a 675LT only as fast as a 650S and slower than an LP610-4? The longer the track, the more daily variation, but this test was done same day with the same driver (and it was a Weissach Pack GT2 RS).Sure different day and driver, but in Hockenheim GP track we see usually strange results.
Probably it is, since this was the lightest GT2 RS testcar yet.One question, is it the Weissach version that is tested in this comparison? As I can see they don't mention it in the article, but the car has the stripe decals that I thought only the Weissach package wears? Someone can confirm, please?
