or a Ducati Streetfighter 848, ain't nothing sound as cool as the Vtwin Duke, although the Triumph Triple runs it hard.

Truth is, I know very little about bikes. I hear they're really fun and a little like f1 in their acceleration, so I'm trying to learn more about them. But in all honesty, I was really trying to make a joke about the ABS bit since I do know that most street bikes do come with it (and I'm glad that they do).

Edit: I just did a bit more research on it (kawasaki ninja 1000 abs), and it seems like it's a great bike.

Sorry mate. Didn't mean any offense or anything. I know you were joking, but I was just pointing out that many bikes do come with ABS. Unfortunately, a LOT of people have no idea that bikes have ABS now.

What I've heard Speed Triple is fun bike, the styling is a little special.

PS my current bike have no ABS but its from year 1999.

I won't lie, Triumphs are quite a draw for me too. Especially the 675 Triple. Used ones are actually very well priced and there are a few here that I can afford.

Which one has a colour display?

I vote BMW HP4:

199 kg, measured 208 hp, 112 Nm. Go for it.

Thiiis one, or the Ducati 1299 Panigale, or Yamaha YZF-R1 ;)

The H2 is an ugly bike IMO. Funny that Ducatti have dumped the Trellis frame, Kawasaki must have raided their dumpster.

Have had my eyes for a Ducati 848 Streetfighter. Went to the dealer but was turned off when they said insurance costs are twice as much as japanese bike and Streetfighter isn't available with Abs brakes.

They asked me if I wanted to take it for testdrive but I didn't have the balls to do it which I obviously regret today :)

I had a go in both Suzuki GSR-750 and Suzuki GSX-S 1000 yesterday.
Both have comfortable seat position for me. They are also very fast, comparable to a Mclaren 650 S. You really need to hold on to the steering during full acceleration but wow it feels so good.
The GSR-750 had optional exhaust system and sound better than the big brother.
Those two are still on my list for next season but need to test some more bikes until final decision.

Here is a short video I did with the GSX-S 1000. Sounds great doesn't it? :)

Yesterday drive - Honda CB1000R. Full throttle in second gear and you felt the front wheel leaving the ground.

Today I had a ride in Kawasaki Z1000

and Suzuki GSX S1000 for the second time.

My favorite is Suzuki. Smoother gearchanges, better seat comfort and the newest. Better sound exhaust. The others lack traction control, gear selector, led lights and a few more things. All bikes are insanely quick for public roads though.

My first ride ever with a Ducati. 821 Monster - 112hp/dry weight 179,5 kg.

They do sound great. They are little more wild and abrubt than japanese bikes. Jerky gearchanges compare to japanese bikes. Except for the sound I don't think its more special than a japanese bike. They are little more expensive and higher insurance costs. Design and engine sound are the main reasons you buy a Ducati in my opinion.

Next test ride - BMW S1000R. 160 hp/fully fuelled 207 kg. Who need a Mclaren 650S or 911 turbo when you can have a bmw bike like this one ;) Much quicker than Ducati 821, actually its quicker than most performance cars too. While its fast , its still controllable, easy to drive and comfortable. No front tyre leaving the ground under full acceleration. I think you need to provoke and the skills to get it to lift. Adjustable suspension, soft/hard. Different dynamics mode to adjust thottle response, engine mapping etc.

So far Suzuki GSX S1000 and BMW S1000R are on my top two list. But BMW is slighly more expensive and not sure the extra cost is worth it.

Impressive numbers for both:

BMW S1000R / Suzuki GSX S1000
0-100km/h: 3.3 sec / 3.0 Sec
0-200km/h: 8.3 sec / 8.5 Sec
140 - 180km/h: 2,8 sec / 3.5 sec

To be honest, both the Suzuki and Honda are comfortable bikes. I haven't ridden these two, but the CRB-600RR and GSXR-600, and they're both the most comfortable bikes for my height.

As for your German comment. Unlike the car world, the Japanese make better bikes compared to their European rivals, IMO. lol. Not to mention, if you want German why choose Ducati? It's still Italian. BMW makes AWESOME bikes, but I might be biased because I worked for BMW Motorrad marketing and the reason why I've tried to annoy @SCOTT27 to give me some information on how I can work for BMW marketing. :D

This is very old, never saw your reply

I just mentioned the Ducati so I could make the German bike joke haha
When it comes to bikes, I also believe Japanese are the standard. Just better mototrcycles for less money.

I am saving to buy a CBR600 F2. I hope I get it soon haha

Did you end up buying anything, Andreas? what is it you are looking for in a bike? Have you considered a Yamaha?

Motorcycle season is coming to an end in Sweden so no point getting a new bike this year. But in March/April the season starts again and then I'll be getting a new bike.

Suzuki GSX S-1000 is probably the one I'll be getting. I like naked bikes. Something that looks good, comfortable to sit on and moves fast.
I've been looking at all brands and tried the ones I had an interest in.
