The poster boy for why the death penalty should be applied has finally gone to hell!

:t-woohoo::greenappl:happy001::t-hands2::t-hihi::t-upside::yay::ylsuper:

The only thing that pisses me off is that taxpayers paid their hard earned money to keep that f#cking c#nt alive for so f#cking long... That's why CALIFORNIA SUCKS!

Long live Texas and other conservative states that send scum like Charles Manson straight to execution.

Anyway, rot in hell chucky... Rot in hell you f#cking nazi bastard.

Apparently god forgives, so he's probably not, if you believe in that kind of rubbish. Alternatively he's in a hole in the ground about to become worm food.

The greatest costs associated with the death penalty occur prior to and during trial, not in post-conviction proceedings. Even if all post-conviction proceedings (appeals) were abolished, the death penalty would still be more expensive than alternative sentences.

It's cheap in China, same as everything else, the Chinese are super efficient.

Killing isn't the best solution, that is too merciful. Torture is better. And being in american prisons isn't exactly a paradise.

Being banished to a most remote, barren, secluded and desolate piece(s) of our planet may be the most fitting of all capital punishment alternatives. With nothing more than the clothes on the criminals' backs. And a last farewell consisting of "Deal with it, scum.".

Having experienced the era as a teenager, I am again reminded just how dark and utterly weird the late 1960s' were. "Flower Power" was but a very brief, heavily romanticized chapter.

"eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot.." , no?

An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind.

... but I don't agree with Betty either. I would support the death penalty in some cases, not based on vengeful justice, simply on efficiency and risk management.

In the case of proven premeditated, heinous homocide, the forfeiture of , for the lack of a better phrase, " the right to life" is a concept that is certainly comprehensible.

"Saving money" is not justification for killing somebody, no matter what they've done. Neither is it a deterrent. The U.S. has the death penalty and has one of the highest prison populations in the world.

It's barbaric and is not the actions of a civilised society.

The level of absolute depravement witnessed in perpetrators of heinous crimes may render (for them) the death penalty as a measure that is not punitive. Death, in their perception, may be a form of salvation.

2 disagree for asking a question. I didn't say I believe in it myself. It's a question to whether you think so or not.

You were asking a loaded question, to which two people disagreed.

Put it another way, the way you asked the question implied a presupposition that you agreed with.
