I'm guessing that after Alpina was bought by BMW and turned into a Maybach competitor, he (and the family), Bovensiepen, is trying to diversify and get his name out as a manufacturer.

I'm wondering whether its exterior dimensions are closer to those of the G82 M4 coupe...or the F92 M8 coupe.

Weird. So lights are taken over from G22/G82. Mirrors are M side mirrors. Then the vid talks about a carbon fibre chassis ... I bet drivetrain is from the G8x. S58 plus ZF8HP ... but WHY? Why didn't Bovensiepen keep Alpina, if he still wants to build cars. This Zagato Bovensiepen isn't that far away from an Alpina B4GT ...

It's 4943mm, so longer than both and therefore closer to the 8-er's 4851mm.

Sometimes founders want to sell a business. They do so and celebrate. But a few weeks or months after the sale, they feel bored and miss work. As a result they go off and create a similar business. Those who don’t, sometime fall into depression because they don’t know what to do with themselves.

The video sounds like AI garbage, the press release only refers to carbon fibre exterior panels. It's clearly a rebodied M4 Convertible.

Should have made production. This was when MINI was in its prime.

I'm looking forward to the future NKL-era ALPINA vehicles. They should be quite exciting. The ALPINA trademark "iron fist in a silk glove" recipe will work well, I think. Very exciting would be something that would compete with the likes of the VAG "J" and AMG.EA vehicles.
