Thanks for sharing. I didn't know of an Alpina modified Mini.
They should revisit this. Maybe with the Countryman? Call it the MINI Culliman. The Goodwood (Rolls Royce) trimmed MINIS from the next gen model are a lot nicer IMO

There is a huuuuuge gap between BMW and Rolls Royce. Alpina can fill that, and it can do so much profitably than RR because underpinnings can be extensively shared with BMW models.
The Skytop could have been an Alpina. Future Alpina cars could be similar. ICE engines that people love like the S58, B58 and S63, rolls Royce leather, parts bin interior with physical switch gear that people know and love, reskinned interior = Boom! Zagato by BMW."graceful, elegant performance of the highest order" should be niche that ALPINA continues to pursue in its new chapter of cooperation directly under the BMW AG umbrella. Visually embodied by the virtues of clean, unadorned sculpturing, top notch proportions and stance. At least as potent as rival AMG products but more subtle in appearance. And the possibility to increase oppulence without resorting to some of the tacky shtick sometimes exercised by Maybach. Dedicated ALPINA vehicles ? Perhaps a very sleek, 5er sized 4 door shooting brake-like estate and that general recipe also being applied to an iX5 sort of sport utility crossover.
