Besides the rear lights being a little "Toyota Camry-ish", the rest of the car is absolutely fabulous. This is what the rest of the industry (besides German and now Jag) should be looking at. Fresh design filled with emotion. Gotta love Nissan/Infiniti.
Hold up! Why is has my thread been combined with this one? Mine was actually the official photos. Secondly it is NOT the 2010 Infiniti M it is the 2011 Infiniti M.
Can someone seperate my thread from this one?
Where I live, we get both Nissan and Infiniti. In my opinion, i like Nissan cars much more. I would take a nissan maxima over this. The same goes with Toyota/Lexus and Honda/Acura, we have all of them.
It's not bad looking... but I prefered the old one.
I must I don't like the way Infiniti's design is going. Previous generations (FX, G, now M) had nice sharp lines. Now they took the same base design, but mande it rounder and bubbly.
I know what you're saying, but I won't call it bubbly though. It looks more organic and many of the lines on this car follow Japanese Calligraphy styled cues.
Kinda like the current M, shocking when new.....and forgettable after 2 years. Looks good right now though, but Infiniti designs don't last. Only the G37 Coupe keeps it good looks years out.
M
Ya i'll buy that.. but still preferred the sharper lines.
Infiniti may have “revealed” the new M in 3D virtual reality earlier this year, but never mind that, we have the real thing! Our spies unexpectedly stumbled upon two pre-production testers on Thursday. No clay models here — these were as real as it gets. Sporting cues from the Essence Concept, nothing is left to the imagination with this test car as only a few poorly placed pieces of tape cover the badges.
Infiniti staged an early unveiling of its 2011 M luxury sedan at the 59th Annual Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in August. Because a pre-production prototype was not yet been built, Infiniti took advantage of a new video-mapping projection technology to illuminate the surface of a clay model with what appeared to be the M’s finished sheet metal. The automaker also released a handful of computer-generated images of the car.
The redesigned model is expected to go on sale in spring 2010 in two flavors: the six-cylinder M37, and the eight-cylinder M56. This third-generation M will be the first to be sold across all of Infiniti’s 32 markets around the world, including Western Europe.
Although final specs have not been disclosed, the M56 is expected to offer more than 400 horsepower. Meanwhile, the M37 will likely have a similar horsepower figure to the G37, which delivers 330 horsepower. espite improved performance from the new engine lineup, fuel consumption will be reduced, Infiniti says.
The exterior has a new look with a low front end and deeply sculpted fenders inspired by the Infiniti Essence concept car. The interior is highlighted by better materials, an advanced climate control system, and superior audio.
The car features a number of new technologies, including a system designed to help alert the driver if another vehicle is detected in an adjacent lane during an intended lane change. In such an instance, the car will reportedly ‘help’ steer itself back into the original lane of travel.
We get all the cars too, and I'd definitely disagree with you especially when it comes to Nissan/Infiniti. Why? All the Nissans, except for GT-R and 370Z, are FWD while all Infinitis are RWD. That is a HUGE difference in my book, secondly the exterior and interior of the Infiniti is way better than Nissan's.
