2015 Sorento measures 4780mm long, 1685mm tall and rides on a wheelbase that spans 2780mm. Petrol options include 2.4-liter four-cylinder and a 3.3-liter V6. There could also be 2.0- and 2.2-liter CRDi diesels as well as a new hybrid variant.

2.4 petrol - 188 hp, 2.0 diesel - 185 hp and 2.2 diesel - 200 hp.

I'm a bit disappointed in Kia. Their designs are generally pretty decent. What ruins this car is the C-pillar which has clearly come about because they wanted to squeeze a usable third row into the car. This is overshadowed by the clutter-mess of buttons on the center console. The cluster of buttons for heating and cooling appear to be pulled from the parts bin of an entry level econobox and NAV unit could have done without all the buttons around it.

Agreed, and putting on a normal 3rd side window would help too instead of this wannabe coupe look.

Those photos make me want the car. Even with the rear seats, the boot space is very generous. It's a good SUV if you are willing to sacrifice luxury for value. The only thing that puts me off is lack of trim on the center console.

What's ugly about it? It might not turn heads but there's nothing offensive about its looks.
