Cadillac Escalade [Official] Cadillac Escalade IQ

The Cadillac Escalade is a full-size luxury SUV manufactured by General Motors and marketed by their luxury division Cadillac. It was the luxury brand's first major entry into the SUV market. The Escalade was introduced for the 1999 model year in response to an influx of new luxury SUVs in the late 1990s such as the Mercedes-Benz M-Class, Range Rover, Lexus LX, and (especially) Ford's 1998 debut of the Lincoln Navigator.

This is going to be a big hit for Cadillac. If the continue to execute like this they will ensure their future. Now get rid of all that XT garbage.

The only niggle is that it won’t have CarPlay Or Android Auto. That may not seem like a big deal but isn’t a not a small deal either.

Native infotainments can be laggy but worst of all, they are loaded with abandonware. Some of the apps stop being updated or working after 12-24 months. Alternatively, once warranty expertise, you are charged $xxx per year to access connected features which are usually not up to date with more recent car models.

With CarPlay you as an owner achieve feature parity in any car you connect your phone to. Wireless CarPlay in my 2006 W211 works the same as it does in a 2016 Golf or a 2023 i7. Regardless of car, everything is in-sync and all I need to do is to manage the content on a single device.

When fully integrated Carplay/AndroidAuto with multi screen support rolls out in the next 12 months, Cadillac’s decision will look even more regrettable.

We can’t miss what we have never had. But once you been given something, become used to it, you will rebel if someone tries to take it away.

Not having those is not going to affect the sales of this car one bit man. A lot of people don’t even use all this tech in these cars. They’ll get over it but being there.

It will absolutely sell well. After the Spectre, it's my favorite EV luxury car. The rear end is not perfect but the overall design is appealing.

Do you know if there will be an ESV variant?

I was going to say the same thing in one of these threads. This Escalade and the Spectre are what EV design should be. They clearly represent their respective brands but they have taken the look into the future the right way, unlike Mercedes' horrible EQ lineup. Nor is any of that bullshit the BMW fanboys constantly regurgitate needed. No ESV variant since this IQ model splits the different between the standard size Escalade and the ESV.

Unlike the Audi eTron SUVs, the Escalade IQ looks familiar but yet new and genuinely attractive. In the cabin, Cadillac have clearly put effort into levelling up the car with a luxurious ambiance. They haven’t taken an premium SUV interior, slapped nicer leather on the doors or dashboard and called it a day.

I now feel super optimistic about the Celestiq.

The Celestiq is just plain ugly and overpriced IMO. A Cadillac is not a 340K car, especially one that looks like a hearse.

The proportions are spot-on.
I however feel the exterior styling doesn`t quite hit the $100,000 mark. Any car hitting that price territory should carry a level of top-tier elegance.
This appears to be a $60k-$70k design IMO. The same can be said for the interior, too much screen real estate, and many generically designed pieces.
