It should be much faster. I expect ring time around 6:45 with extreme Cup 2 R or similar tyres. Will it be faster than the Viper ACR though? It's is mighty impressive if it will.
6:45 is realy quick! I bet from 6:50 to 6:55.It should be much faster. I expect ring time around 6:45 with extreme Cup 2 R or similar tyres.
So it's gotta put down comfortably faster lap time than the RS. Whatever lap time they got, I just hope they didn't get screwed by the weather.JWW: This is a platform that's designed to be the answer to a GT3 RS or an AMG Black Series.
Larry Holt: I think the GT3 RS wouldn't get anywhere close to this. I mean, in the end, it won't. Because it just doesn't have the power. We got all the aero and we got power on top.
Black Series presently holds... Well that's not true, the AMG One (which we were heavily involved with) holds the production lap record at the Nordschleife. 6:35, which is smoking fast. I don't know if we get there, but we sure would get to the Black Series' time.
JWW: It'll definitely be a sub seven...
LH: The days of: "we got under a seven", that's like... that don't mean anything anymore. 7 Nordschleife time - easy street. But now, 6:30 is like that.
So, anyway, we're going to be in that mix. We'll be right there with the Black Series. Obviously we're not going to get past the AMG One. We don't have a Formula 1 engine in it. But it's going to be very very credible time around there.
Oh, I didn't realize they were this ambitious (at least initially). Good to have the receipts!I will hold them to their public expectation for the car:
So it's gotta put down comfortably faster lap time than the RS. Whatever lap time they got, I just hope they didn't get screwed by the weather.
I nailed it. I predicted laptime between 6:57-6:59.
