So weird seeing him two gears higher than what a normal car would use in some of these corners.

I have a feeling Koenigsegg won't get to enjoy holding this record for very long. This being Czinger's home turf, they will make sure to take it back, with now a production-spec 21C, just like they recently did on COTA.

Also, while this is impressive time, it's still slower than a 992 GT3 Cup :/

so Laguna Seca has been recently resurfaced and it had a big impact on the mechanical grip of the track, taking a comment from Reddit here

The lap times pre and post repave at Laguna seca are not comparable. For reference the indycar pole lap time dropped 5 seconds after the repave.

i believe that makes Czinger the only apples to apples comparison

We'll see. The SF90 was a specially prepared Ferrari press car. But then again, so is probably the Jesko... so all is fair!

1:10.9 compared to 1:11.3 of the SF90. About what I expected.

Now I am quite curious how much faster the Valkyrie will be. As a side note, the track got like 1s faster since Season 16 or 17 (or something like that, can't bothered to go look it up now), so some times are not really comparable (specifically the FXX, Caparo, DBR9 and Zonda R times). The Valkyrie better be at least 1s faster than the Caparo - which technically was road legal and actually very much the same sort of thing as the Valkyrie, only 15 years earlier. I think that a lap in the 1:08.xx range is possible, but we'll see.
