I said nearly, i got warnings for that word, due to people being very vocal in their complaints. It is actually a strong weapon to whine.. so don't underestimate yourself.

Now klier, you actually made me laugh with this one. Although to use the word "gay" in a pejorative sense is a little unkind, perhaps even more so than calling someone fat. But you can't Klier. Why would somebody feel the need to use the word "gay" as a derogatory term, even if you say you mean no harm? To use it as a derogatory term MUST feel being gay is somehow inferior.

I will add, I don't think you have a habit of using it as a derogatory term however.

Depends on what your surroundings are and how you are brought up, if you are in a very hetrosexual and male dominated company, words like these gets thrown around.
It does not mean that you want to hunt down every homosexual and make their life hell.

Or that you can't even stand besides someone of a different sexual orientation.

I mean ile be totally open, in my surroundings it gets thrown around alot, but no one i know hate gays, nor do they want them any harm. And almost everyone knows someone of a homosexual orientation and works, hangs, talks and interacts with them like any other human being.

It's the equivalent of people who claim they have lots of friends of other races and their friends don't mind them using racist epithets: "Oh, but not the bad ones, no. Nobody thinks it does mean that. There are shades of grey, but just because you're not homophobic, it doesn't mean it's OK to use homophobic terms safe in the knowledge that "you don't mean anything by it". Just in the same way someone can use racial epithets and be wrong in doing that, yet still believe in racial equality.

Put it this way, there is something wrong when in describing something you don't like, the first word that comes to mind is "gay". It doesn't even make sense when describing an inanimate object.

Oh, I'm well aware of PC nonsense. I hate it, mainly because it does the cause of racial and sexual equality no good whatsoever. But I don't think that's the case here.

What I will say about your original comments though is that whatever the reasons for these guys being fat, and whether you believe it's their fault, it was just such a nasty and unnecessary thing to say. I mean, why mention it? And rather than draw attention to what was obvious to anybody watching the video anyway, all it did was demonstrate what a nasty person YOU are.
