Pictures Of My 991 Carrera S

The only current contender for my next car if I don't keep mine. These babies ain't cheap though! :D

Glad to hear that it's increasingly pleasurable.

Glad to see you are using it unlike some 911s I know which spend most of their time flaunting as garage queens.

Looking forward to a detailed review.

actually im looking for a small car for work, a VW golf or something. when i reach 5k im just gonna start saving some miles and drive it only for fun. its very practical but not a car to take to work. :)

ok guys, ive done some changes to my car, installed a front lip spoiler, and e-code side blinkers with clear indicators, and the car looks day and night difference.

here are some quick shots i took with my phone.

Love the mods! Simple, subtle yet effective are always the best mods. I like the front lip mod too, to add a little more "oomph" to the front. I wonder if it would look good painted as well....

i was trying to imagine it being painted in glossy black, i think leaving it as it is looks better, it matches better with the rest of the car. :)

edit:

btw i dig these wheels

hey guys, yesterday was a beautiful day driving around and enjoying my holiday with my new best friend (the porsche) and ive enjoyed every minute of it :) then later at night i meet with a friend who owns an e92 white m3 with competition package (sorry guys no photos), so he saw my car for the first time from inside and outside and he loved it, he asked for the keys and i couldnt say no to him (a good guy) he drove it rround for 2 minutes, he just gave a a little bit of throttle and didnt rev it up too much.

so after we chat about our cars he asked to race (ive always been curious to see how fast my car is against the m3) ... we went to an empty road and had a couple of runs and man there is no chance for the m3, we raced around 3 or 4 times from 20 to 120 i think and as soon as i hit the gas my car just pulls ahead and it keeps on gaining and gaining.

If you compare this car to your S4. Is there anything the S4 did better, like driving comfort etc?

just_me i had an S5 not an S4

the porsche is very comfortable with everything turned of, and just as comfortable as the s5 driving on shty roads...

I like the porsche seats better tho because they feel like they are hugging u perfectly, and theres way more head room inside, but getting into the car and out takes some time to get used to. and i miss how all the dials were placed in the s5, that was the best thing seriously.

Today i lowered my Car 1.2 inches from front and 1.0 from the rear. using the H&R springs, the car feels like stock springs, and handling was superb. I spaced the front wheels 7mm and rears 14mm, i was really worried that it will kill the looks but instead, the car looks like a monster.

heres one photo for now taken with my crappy iphone cam

AHH! That is SICK!

I drove a 991 Carrera (Base) today, and it was riveting to say the least. Not used to such a small car so it took some getting used to (felt like a toy).

Is it your daily? If I'm not mistaken you're in Cali, and I know some people who have stated that driving it all the time over our crap a$$ roads can be a bit brutal, and start some rattles throughout the car (due to the sport stiff suspension). Anything of the sort for you, or no probs in that regard?

I got use the suspension driving it on our crap*y roads but now it feels normal, if I didn't have a Q5 for work and other needs, I wouldn't mind driving the 911 everyday. It's that good. The suspension is lovely but u need time to get use to it. :)

I read your post on another thread about the test drive and I'm glad u liked it, if I couldn't afford my car, I would've thought about the basic carrera. I hope u get the chance to buy one soon, it's worth every penny! Apart from the crappy Bose speakers :D

Moss, that lowering is awesome! Makes the car look even more aggressive.

A question. What car gets more looks and attention: The S5 or the Carrera?

Honestly tumbo I'm not the type who looks around seeking for attention :P, sometimes when I give my friends a ride in the 911 they tell me things I swear I rarely notice, like "wow u get allot of attention in this car", when im driving I'm usually just thinking, or day dreaming, or enjoying the beauty of the drive.

And the same exact thing happened with my s5, I got allot of thumbs up, and many compliments, but I can't compare the 2 I love them both, and IMO the RS5 is the most beautiful coupe in the world. I just don't compare it to a 911 because who ever buys a 911 wants a 911 no matter what out there

Yes indeed! I really am planning on it. It's my #1 goal at the moment. The size (and price) are the only factors I'll have to get used to/hoops I'll have to jump through, but when I set my sights on something, I'm tenaciously pursuing it to become a reality.

The beauty of a 911 though, especially a new body style, is the resale! There's a guy on the 991 Boards who had a Base and sold it right away due to some lifestyle change or something, and said that if you can especially work a good deal for one from the get go, you probably could sell it (using this example to drive home a point) a year later for a mere $5K or so loss. Kind of a good place to put your money, eh. :D

The real issue is THIS. My OCD self I know would have my world rocked when I'd have to get something as mere as an Air Filter change!
