Macan E is not even better looking than iX3 IMO.

iX3 is a full generation newer in like every aspect including design.

Everybody invested in EVs and we are talking about 6 billion for J1 platform which was shared with Audi, so its not like they all their money on that.

Indeed Porsche forgot to invest also in ICE cars, or they paid out the money to shareholders.

Does Porsche need to invest alot in engines for ICE cars? In my honest opinion they don't have to as they just recently launched the new 3.6 flat six hybrid engine in the 992.2 GTS, and Turbo models and this 3.6 flat six in detuned form could be perfect to fit into a new ICE Cayman/Boxster models. They can save costs by not developing a flat 4 engine. For the other front engined models such as SUV's and Panamera they can use VW/Audi turbo inline 4, V6 and V8 engines with mild hybrid or PHEV tech.

As much as I like the new Macan E, I don't think its a bigger enough step forward compared to the ICE version, the interior in particular looks a bit cheap skate for its high price and the new iX3 and GLC EQ highlight its lack of tech, range, and value for money. They are both more stylish and hugely cheaper.

The cheapest Macan E costs 80.700 Euros and only has 265kw/360PS and 5,7sec from 0-100km/h and 644km range.

You would need to spend 90.700 Euros on the 4S before you can drive a Macan that will match or beat the performance of the iX3 50 or GLC 400 both are over 20K Euros cheaper.

Some of this is easy to fix. They just need to change the way they are thinking. Horsepower and straight line acceleration doesn't work as source of value in EVs.

I can say even Xiaomi YU7 is more stylish. As @klier said the Macan looks a generation behind.

That Macan interior looks 6 years old. Horrible and cheap looking. Both the BMW and Mercedes look more modern, more premium and just better designed

How old is this design by Porsche anyway? Of course it is time for a reset. But my trust in the brand is diminishing with each new product. The Cayenne EV interior is tragic.
