As an owner of two Clio RS in the past, this is a really terrible news, if it's true. Was always fan of small Renault Sport cars...

2000 model year phase 1 with 170HP and 2007 model year with 197HP.

2000 and 2007 model year.

Wicked! The Clio 197 is a terrific performance hatch and the recaro seats are awesome. It handles well in corners and the engine has a good soundtrack.

The newer one was of course the better one as overall package and much faster on twisty roads, but the old one was more fun. I owned both together for about a month and I can tell you, straightline performance was better with the old one. I did with my friend couple races between them and on the highway at 180km/h the old one was at least 10m ahead.

Amazing little Hatch! Very rare today.

It ain’t a Renault if it doesn’t have an Avis/Europcar trim.

But to be honest it does look horrible, and even new Chinese brands do a much better job than this. Zero design. Just look at the way the dash 'flows' into the door panels.

I am aware I am replying to a 4 year old post so I hope the latest Clio has a better interior. Let me check. Nope I don't think so.

2024 Lucid Sapphire Air Google Search- $250K and I'm very nutty about it.

You prefer the Clio over the Air?
Well....to each his own I guess. The Lucid looks great inside, the Clio a mix of 1995-2005 design plastic galore with a screen slapped on.

Wait for the Chinese brands to begin selling in France and not only, 5 years from now many local brands will be sold for pennies or almost dead.

In 5 years there'll be huge tariffs on Chinese cars to protect the crap they make in France (and Germany)..

The dashboard area definitely 110% I said preference too I'm not saying it's gorgeous or anything. Just the was it's laid out.
