What are guys talking about? 100+pages for this bs.
This car is fugly. Looks like a minivan. Cheap inside. Mb design language is dead. End of story.
By some of your posts you give the impression of a 10 year old who doesn’t get enough attention from his parents...

Or like this guy...

it’s actually quite difficult to decide...

Thanks for posting that. They're being generous with the standard equipment, waiting to see what the price is.

Canadian designer Emre Husmens' vision of an EQS platform based AMG EQR shooting brake. Very, very cool methinks.:

A message to M-Bs' design team: Take note. SERIOUSLY take note.

mercedes didn't take note. they simply didn't give a f*ck. well done mercedes, well done...

I just hope they get the electric G-Wagon right. It needs to keep all the current ICE functionality and still have decent range.

Was would you consider decent range is what's borderline a desirable(but overpriced) fashion item.

300 miles at least seems to be a sticking point.

I found out a while back that Mercedes engineers are struggling with getting the EQG over 200mi in range but they were determined to do. I then happened to read a recent issue of CAR yesterday afternoon and Georg Kacher mentioned the same thing and said they were struggling with getting it over 150mi. Will be interesting to see how that turns out...

I'm not surprised. There won't be any one bow styling there. It's like to trying to pass a brick through the air unnoticed lol.

That's plentiful for my daily trips from my Beverly hills mansion to Rodeo Drive.

The advantage that cars like the Rivian have is that they are longer than the G with better packaging for fitting more battery cells.

The G wagen has everything that an EV should not have. The range will be bad but not a lot of customers would be bothered by it. It will have its cult following as the ICE version has it and rightfully so, because it is a different animal, that has survived despite not evolving.

There is increasing pressure on celebrities and politicans to lower their carbon footprint or be more environmental friendly.

An EQG would be a "have your cake and eat it too" status symbol that will for tax reasons be cheaper to lease for business purposes than a petrol G-Class.

for business purposes than a petrol G-Class
Curious, what is the "business purpose" for the G-Class, unless of course G Professional which is heavy duty work in remote rural places or G "Mafia" which is intimidation and display of power in the zone(s) under control?

The business purpose for an EQG would be as company car or promo vehicles for celebs, business owners and wealthy individuals.

No, that makes no sense. What is the EQSuv then? EQG is just for G Class fans and has no more purpose, even the G Class Professional is no more a vehicle of choice because there are simply much cheaper vehicles for that purpose like Isuzu D-Max and Toyota Hilux or even Ford Ranger to some extent. Then there is the Landcruiser 70 which is quite expensive for what it is, but has world wide support and availability for parts. G Class is as useful as a VW Beetle, than is retro icon toy car. I am surprised VW hasn't mentioned any announcement for the iD.Bug/iD.Beetle, they do however promise iD.Buzz.
