Why are we still talking about BMW Design from the early 2000’s?
BMW design is looked upon as iconic in transforming automotive product design to a level where even other factions took more than a passing an interest in automotive design.
Here was the Architecture, here was the furniture and it was used on an automobile.

When other design mediums talked automotive design they talked about BMW. Chris Bangle had the ability to transverse across all mediums of design whether in admiration or cooperation.
The guy brought automotive design to the fore

Just received the Autoart 1/18 Nissan R34 Z Tune in silver and midnight purple. The recent releases have stepped up in the level of details, general sharpness of the moulding, panel gaps, and quality of the paint. The colour shift of the midnight purple is quite eye catching.

An Update on a Classic. Not just any old reissue? But a complete retro redesign from
the original 1984 toy for the 40th Anniversary.

There are Chinese manufactured third party Transformers some of which are exceptionally good with far more detail and with better quality than the commercial toys. Also in various scales like this Optimus Prime

and fellow Dinobots.

The big news is the Articulation. So now he is “Primed” for action.

Hey @Monster , how big is your 1/18 collection now? Would love to see a pic of your line-up
Hey @Gianclaudio I think I have collected around 30 1/18 cars over the past 13 years or so. The Autoart Zonda F model is probably 11 years old now. I have never displayed all of them together actually, I will try to setup a group photo in the next few weeks. I just took a few quick snaps of the Zonda for now.

Absolutely beautiful Zondas! At one point, I'd love to get a Cinque or R for my reduced collection (went from close to 70 to around 10) I'll try to take a pic on weekend.

Anyway, I got this custom made guitar amp:

Everything nice, but the builder forgot my explicit request for 230v and made it for 110v, FFS!!!
(I found that the hard way...thankfully blew the fuse and didn't burn down my house)

And then, no answer after I asked for instructions on how to fix it, as some research I did revealed a multi voltage transformer.
In the end, I opened the bird's nest and fix it myself:

Not completely sold on the sound neither, but have to play it for a bit more before proper judgement.

I just got a set of Style 37s for my E39. I will pair them with a set of Bridgestone Potenza Sport, as despite being a Michelin fan, I have yet to hear a good word for the Pilot Sport 5.

I also got a set of new door sills, a set of E38 interior door handles from solid metal and with LED lighting, a set of shadow line window trims and half a set of Technical Graphite interior trim. Also, I installed a leather handbrake handle and upgraded the brakes with the 324 mm front disks and ventilated rears from the 525i and up, since the 520i came with the brakes from a 1.1l Peugeot 206 and I've managed to cook them quite a few times now. Oh, and I also got a new spare wheel, which can fit around the new brakes.

I finally got around to put on the new wheels and tyres a few days ago. @klier will be happy to see the BBS gone :D

Here's a before and after:

This is kind of a cool collaboration with Hot Wheels. It’s the G1 Transformers Optimus Prime but at the scale of a typical 1:64 Hot Wheels car. Its box even transforms into a display case.

Solido introduce the BMW M3 Touring in 1/43 Scale in Twilight Purple and Frozen Blue for July.
Along with a 1/43 BMW M2.
First image on the Pre-Sale seems pretty decent. And its die-cast compared with the Resin models from
TSM.

MINI-GT begin to offer the novelty of the BMW i7 in 1/64 Scale for later this year.

The i7 in miniature will be offered in 1/87,1/43 and 1/18 by MINICHAMPS. And now in 1/64. A scale for every occasion.

And the E39 project continues. Recently I upgraded the lights, by retrofitting updated xenon lenses and proper high quality lamps. Now the lighting is 21st century and not like lighting a candle.

Next up is sound. I just bought the 16:9 screen, with a mkIV navi unit and BM24 amp. I'm waiting on a BM54 amp, which I will upgrade with modern components and I'll also add a DSP, which I have already secured, alongside the massive sub-woofer. Moments ago I found and ordered a factory sound system wiring loom from an E39. Then, I need to find the 8 Ohm speakers that came with the DSP equipped cars and on to fit them!

I bought the car for 4.000€ three years ago. I'm already over 12.000€ in parts and upgrades into it and there are still a lot of things I want to do...

Apparently, the E39 M5 came with what was called as M-Sound system, which basically is the same DSP system as the rest of the models, yet with a bit better speakers. As the wiring loom I got was from an M5, it was only logical to search for the M5 speakers as well. I only found a set in Germany and it was not cheap. Well, if an old BMW doesn't financially ruin you, then nothing will.

Or you could forget the factory system and go nuts with Focal.
