911 Sport Auto Supertest - Porsche 911 GT2 RS

The Porsche 911 model series (pronounced Nine Eleven or in German: Neunelf) is a family of German two-door, high performance rear-engine sports cars, introduced in September 1964 by Porsche AG of Stuttgart, Germany.
Did they mention why this time is 9.0 seconds slower than the 997 GT2's time? Sport Auto seem to have been having wacky wet handling times. 997.2 GT3 RS was 9.2 seconds slower than 997.1 GT3 RS, 458 Italia 3.5s slower than Scuderia on Corsas...
One word: tyres. :usa7uh:

"Michelin Pilot Sport Cup" this is in the article. I don't know if it's "N0" or "+"...
If this is the test car in this pic, then I'm pretty sure it's Cup+. You can tell by the thin outer circumferential groove:

Here's a clearer pic of that car with that plate in Car and Driver's gallery:

Flickr member Black Bunny's photo set shows that it is a Cup+ with N1 spec.

Dede, is that your own table of stats that you've drawn up? If it is... well, I'll wait to hear first. ;)

In any event, it's a fascinating read. GT3 RS is a cornering monster! I'm suprised (and then not) to see it carry higher cornerning speeds than the GT2 RS. This is a really cool piece of info...

Thank you.
Yes, that's my work. :)
:t-cheers:
