The screen being lower down on the dash doesn't concern me. If it's just me in the car I usually set everything how I want it before I leave, otherwise the info screen in instrument cluster has more than enough information for me and I use the controls on the steering wheel. I hardly ever look at the main LCD screen in any car I've driven after I've started off. Looking at it takes your eyes off the road.

The main reason to look at the screen whilst driving is not to set up the car, but for following directions on the sat nav.
Not as warm, fluffy or elegant as the Germans.
It`s minimalistic and rather stark looking which might be the approach Jaguar is deliberately taking on. Car companies are slowly creating their own signature design schemes unique to themselves.
I cannot say I like it either but it`s all Jaguar. Slight design improvements like the center air vents and symmetric switch gear in the center console stack are a welcome touch and look better than the current version in my opinion.
