[Spy Shots] All-new Hyundai Genesis!

They have clearly been studying the Lexus GS for the interior, and the GS was a rip from the previous generation 5-Series. So yeah they're about 9 years behind, ala 2004 5-Series. Outside is a collection of all other luxury cars in the know world. Still good imitation luxury goods here folks.

Why does it have a Bentley badge on the hood? Or something that resembles it?

IMO it's not that bad. Huyndai is trying to hard to imitate Lexus, I believe. I don't know anything about the American models, but the lower part of their line-up, the models imported here, is miles ahead of what would be sold in a Huyndai dealership 10 years ago!

2014 Hyundai Genesis officially revealed with four engines and AWD

Available with 425 HP V8 5.0
After numerous spy photos and teasers, Hyundai has officially introduced the all-new Genesis.

Unveiled today in Seoul, Korea, the second generation of the Genesis benefits from the firm's Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design language and comes with shorter overhangs and a single-frame tridimensional hexagonal front grille with a semi-gloss chrome finish. It has been equipped with bi-functional HID headlamps, LED indicators and fog lamps, as well as full LED taillights.

The cabin seems more evolved than its predecessor and uses more premium materials while adopting a less cluttered layout. As a result of rethinking the cabin, storage space has increased by 3.7 liters to 26.9 liters. The spacious cabin manages to provide 1045mm front / 970mm rear headroom, 1160mm front / 890mm rear legroom and 1480mm front / 1450mm rear shoulder room.

The vehicle is 4990mm long, 1890mm wide (without mirrors) and 1480mm tall, with a generous 3010mm wheelbase and 845 front / 1135 rear overhangs. It's available with a variety of alloys in sizes ranging from 17 to 19 inches and comes as standard with a rear-wheel drive setup, but optionally available will be a HTRAC all-wheel drive system.

Depending on the market, it will be sold with a choice of four engines starting with a V6 3.0-liter developing 257 HP (189 kW) and 224 lb-ft (303 Nm) of torque. Hyundai is also offering a V6 3.3-liter with 282 HP (207 kW) and 256 lb-ft (347 Nm), together with a V6 3.8-liter rated at 315 HP (232 kW) and 293 lb-ft (397 Nm). A beefier 5.0-liter V8 tops the range with an output of 425 HP (312 kW) and 383 lb-ft (519 Nm). All these engines were updated to bring better performance and are going to work exclusively with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Speaking of performance, the base engine grants the car with a 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) run in 8.6 seconds before topping out at 143 mph (230 km/h). Opt for the 3.3-liter and the car will do the sprint in 7.2 seconds, while the 3.8-liter can do it in 6.5s. The range-topping V8 model will complete the task in 5.4 seconds, on its way to a top speed of 149 mph (240 km/h).

Other upgrades compared to the outgoing version include reduced NVH, more use of high-strength steel, a multi-link rear suspension and the addition of a driver-knee airbag. The 2014 Hyundai Genesis also comes with a wide variety of safety systems such as Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS), Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) and Advanced Smart Parking Assist System (ASPAS).

It sure does photograph well from certain angles. That looks purely German/5-Series for real.

This you see this angle. Not ugly, but somewhat off...just a tad.

Car has been revealed in Korea:

I don't think Bentley is going to like their new emblem.

Exterior isn't bad, it's just a facsimile of the F10. The interior is stylistically outdated. The badge I think, like on their Equus, is only for their home market and maybe Japan.

Lexus and BMW, but they're pretty far off IMO. Still though this type of car is unimaginable from the same brand who made the Excel my cousin had in high school.

M

Take a blender, put a BMW 5er and add a pinch of a Peugeot 508, mix together througly, put in a pan and then baken it for 45 minutes and you have the new Genesis

The problem with all these new Hyundai/KIA is that they scream Korean. They are not as fugly as 5 years ago, when you would probably hide inside to avoid your friends see you drivin the thing, but they are still ugly. They try so hard to copy the germans that they just look cheap from every angle.

It really looked promising at first, but now not so much. Looks like a large Japanese family car from the 90's on the inside and the outside is a cluster-fcuk of other brand styling themes.

To have a new Blue Link infotainment system
Hyundai has announced the all-new 2015 Genesis is compatible with wearable devices and has support for Google Glass.

The South Korean premium sedan is going to integrate a new Blue Link infotainment system which will provide support for a variety of wearable devices, including Google Glass. Owners of the 2015 Genesis will have the possibility of using features such as remote start and service information and according to Hyundai drivers will save time and enjoy a higher level of convenience since they will remotely interact with the car without having to pull out the smartphone.

When using Google Glass, information about the vehicle will be presented as cards optimized specifically for the Glass user interface. The owner will be informed about when maintenance is due via push notifications and will also schedule service by initiating a call through the device's built-in feature. Through Blue Link the driver will have access to remote door lock/unlock, remote start, vehicle finder, as well as POI send-to-car by Google.
