In China, a copy from a master is traditionally considered the highest form of recognition. Many Western manufacturers of branded products, including car manufacturers, have had to deal with this. Rather lax copyright management in China has thrown numerous copies onto the Asian market. The fact that a Chinese automaker is now defending itself against another Chinese automaker over alleged copyright infringement is a whole new aspect.

Every time I see it on the street I stare at them, beyond the fact that it is inspired by various cars, somehow it manages to capture the eye and a lot, it is the first Chinese car that I would have without a doubt, compact like a sportage but with much more presence

It it a copy because you want it too be, or because you are blind, it has a long low look, which if you're blind could be confused with the Taycan, or if you want it to the the EQS which is a bulbous lardy blob of a car, which this BYD is not.

Have you ever been inside a Chinese car like a NIO, BYD, Xpeng or Polestar? Better yet have been sat in any of those these jumped in a Mercedes EQE/EQS the EQ's have very loose creaky trim, which you won't find on the Chinese cars I mentioned.

I've been in a couple of Chinese cars and, I must say, interior fit & finish at the price is impressive.
Pity then that I have first hand experience with faulty electronics, steering mechanism noise and rumbling brakes (on a brand new car at that) on various Chinese cars.

Yes, Chinese cars are crap. They are so crap that they make a Fiat look like a Toyota in comparison. I see Chinese cars that are less than 10-years old abandoned over here. They are disposable crap.
