Personally, he's done some of my favorite movies, including Boogie Nights, Magnolia, Punchdrunk Love, and, of course, the hauntingly grand There Will be Blood.
Now he's coming out with a new film starring Philip Seymour Hoffman, Joaquin Phoenix, and Amy Adams. Interesting tid-bit I read...due to its controversial nature and how it parallels a certain belief system that's popular with a lot of big-wig Hollywood-type, it was having difficulty secruing finance and/or distribution for this film. It was only until Larry Ellison's (yes, that Larry Ellison from Oracle fame) daughter's production company was able to put up the cash is why we will be able to see this movie.

Needless to say, this is definitely high on my list of movies to see. And the icing on the cake is that Jonny Greenwood (Radiohead's classically-trained lead guitarist and past BBC composer) is, again, in charge of the score. If anybody else remember the unsettling dissonant soundtrack accompanied the story of Daniel Plainview pitch-perfectly in There Will Be Blood.
