I found lacking almost same things:
- some plastics like B-pillar/rear seat belt trim were cheap but now there's an option to have them covered in leather so its fixed
- the door cards with Bose sound are too monotone, in the Panamera they are surounded by ambient lighting
- the storage space between the rear seats is open but you can spec it without
- you cannot get soft-close doors

Panamera is just one step up in luxury feel as it tries to steal customers of S class and the 7er.

What options did you spec above and beyond what comes as standard in terms of materials and surfaces? To be honest, I don't see much difference with the Taycan if you spec the full leather, which it appears you did on the Panamera. The screens in the Taycan obviously are different, but the photo below is a Taycan with full leather and it's everywhere in the interior. I specced the full leather on my Taycan, and the Neodyme trim, and it looked stunning on a car in the showroom where I ordered mine, and extremely plush.

Well, it seens like even the side profile lines remain the same. I would say it is just an extensive FL.

I could totally see Porsche merging Taycan and Panamera after this FL and the current Taycan are due replacement.

Quite possible indeed. Especially should the "K1" be unveiled as a large, focused-on-luxury elevated ride height crossover featuring shooting brake characteristics.

Just to think of VW had its way there would have been a Golf-sized and based c-segment Porsche. Back then it was a hatch now would probably be an SUV.

I'm obviously a little biased, but I think the Taycan looks far better than the Panamera (not that the Panamera is an ugly car). The Panamera would have suited us better space-wise, but I wanted a full BEV.

Taycan just has better proportions.

Agreed. If specified properly, the Taycan has an interior finish and quality that is very commensurate with it's price point. The build is absolutely rock solid and the finish up to standard, bar a few very small nit picks here and there.

The gloss buttons in the photo you have posted @Big Sam, have also been replaced with more appealing matte ones now.

Yes the Panamera may be more 'opulent' or 'luxurious' but that's the point of it really! They both have their own design and market objectives. I couldn't see myself owning a Panamera as my personal vehicle (It seems a bit much really!), but feel like the Taycan fit's my age and requirements like a glove. That's not to say I'm not hankering for a 911 though.

The market success of the Taycan is huge. Just on this forum it looks like there will be 4 regularly contributing owners. I think only the S-class has more owners represented here.

Yes the taycan had a very good success,in my city Skopje there are 4 Taycans,6 W223 ,aprox 10 BMW 7 LCI,and a wholeee lot of G-CLASS,the numbers may look poor but its because NORTHMACEDONIA is a miserable country.

You can’t see it, go and sit in one. It’s more plush , softer surfaces and leather.
But don’t get me wrong , specced right the taycan interior is wonderful and also suits the car. A panamera type interior wouldn’t fit it.
And me personally like the more luxurious panamera.

No I settled for another Porsche. I’ll share that soon. As far as the 992 goes it’s great, but I can’t get the gt3 allocation , I might be able to get the .2.
I was super tempted to go GTS , it’s either GTS or GT3 imo.
Rumors say .2 GTS might go NA. So I decided for something else.
