Predictable result is predictable.
Not very predictable when the Merc is barely faster than the old RS7....I would have expected a bigger gap, if the race was a little shorter the RS7 would have won .
How is that, the results show the RS7 is nearly 2 10th slower to 60mph. It will be interesting to see how the 592bhp F90 M5 fairs in the races.

NO, ZF8 PDK dual clutch.^
We will see about your beloved M5. It shares ZF box with so many cars, Porsche Panamera
The 707hp Charger Hellcat ran a 1/4 in 11.5 seconds by MotorTrend if I am not mistaken. Hardly impressive compared to the E63s time.
I honestly know very little about quarter mile times, it's not something we use in Europe. But I believe a 1/4 mile roughly equals the 0-200 km/h time of the E63S, which is around 11.3, 11.2 seconds (crazy fast).
But you really shouldn't compare a Dodge to a BMW because they share the same basic engine. Actually, one should never compare a Dodge to a BMW at all....

Shenanigans! The race and the recorded times don't really gel. They just tried to make it look dramatic, hate when journos do that shit...unless it's Top Gear...![]()
Based on results we've seen to 300 kph, I think the Merc would continue pulling away. I guess it depends on just how 'healthy' the engine under the hood of the E63 S isIf it was a 1 mile race I think the Mercedes would have won but the GTR and RS7 would be close behind![]()
