Ah. I'm pretty sure they have to use a series production road legal truck as a base, with stuff like the cab and the chassis retaining the same dimensions... obviously sans any unnecessary aero fairings and slammed to the deck as much as possible, which does make them look a bit smaller. They still look mightily impressive on track though. I've only seen them once at Brands Hatch (BTRC rather than ETRC) but it's definitely something I'd go an watch again.

They are like 1m lower.

This example is not the most correct, because the Volvo has a higher cab than the standard low cab, but it still gives some base (front wibdshield) for comparison.

Hmm, I've gotta confess I know sod all about truck construction, but the rules state it's got to be series production, with no modifications to cab dimensions, and it specifies similar for chassis dimensions. I am wondering if that allows for changes to the mounting of the cab on the chassis to reduce height, or, based purely on looking at photos of a few trucks, if they utilise the cab from road legal series production rigid truck (which seem to have lower cabs), mounted on a road legal series production tractor chassis?

The rules also state a minimum height of 2.5m. Using that Volvo truck as a reference (FH Globetrotter XXL cab) it's got a height of about 3.95m in high suspension settings, the same truck with a more compact cab (Low Sleeper Cab) with low suspension settings is 3.02m. So that's the best part of a metre there ignoring any changes made for racing... whether or not they manage/are able to remove that extra 500mm of height to get down to reg minimum I have no idea!

I mean, I get what you are saying, they look more compact, but not weirdly so.. they're still.. big.

This is the cab from the MB Actros, although it doesn't look like such

That would make quite a race machine! It does point to some opportunity to reduce the height in the mounting of the cab but I've not read the rules very closely.

... anyway, sorry for the off topic everyone!

Should be significantly slower than the LMP1 cars.
LMH are projected to be even slower than the current LMP2 cars, but that's fine in my opinion as long as such a measurement gives the class more sustainability and cost efficiency to allow more entries and provides more equal and fair racing.
