I am so legit jealous of you lucky buggers who got to go to FoS. It seems like sensory overload! Thanks for all the content!
4 Day ticket is the way to do it, without a doubt, with grand stand seating (of some kind) for the weekend. Thursday and Friday are less busy, Saturday and Sunday, are in my experience, almost too busy. If you want to see everything properly 2 days isn't enough - if you're not that fussed about seeing everything on track or going up to the rally stage, then 2 days is okay.
They had public phone charging down at the end of the Supercar paddock, generally there's some such set-up somewhere.
I'm taking 2 memory cards for my camera next time, and remembering to fix my 10-24mm lens before I go. From a photographic point of view, it was a disaster for me!
No sh!t. Proper engine noise really does bring a tear to my eye and a lump to my throat, I won't deny it. You're bombarded with some of the best automotive noises there are, if you're in the paddock it's accompanied by the smell of unburnt fuel and carbon monoxide, if you're anywhere near any of the many drift cars, it's accompanied by the heavy aroma of burnt rubber, and in any case - all the while you're surrounded by a fantastic selection of beautiful, exotic, rare and unusual machinery...
... and fireworks, and thumpin' beats, and lawn music, stunt displays, and occasionally faces you might recognise from the interweb, TV or motorsport (all of which is designed to distract you from the fact you just paid £7.00 for a pint of sh!t lager and £8.50 for one of Lord March's Pork and Apple hot dogs!).

I concur. This was my third time at goodwood. Was there on Thursday and Friday this week. It's simply not enough.
There is so much to see, experience, take in and reexperience. Will likely bite the bullet next year and book 3-4 days.

this year I either followed it more online or it was better than other years, in any case this is the sumun.It's like paradise, the ultimate car show, world premieres, the best cars in history, the present and the future, static and doing lap times, all the wooded surroundings, no wonder they've enjoyed it so much, it's never to be forgotten I will do everything to go next year

Yes, there were some provided FOC by Michelin in the Supercar Paddock and I briefly charged my phone in the one early on. Their photographer ended up taking some shots of me whilst I was using it, but you couldn't leave your device their as they were open.
There were a few in the Goodwood Information Centres with locks but they were either full or faulty. Just not enough around the place.
Maybe I should have taken another phone or camera too!

It’s the ultimate car event. Not only are there hundreds of cars but you get to see them being revved hard up the hill and being worked on in the paddock. Collectors, CEOs, racing drivers, engineers etc are all there for you to walk up to and chat to. You can easily spend 3-4hours just browsing the visitor car parks for cool or rare cars. Basically it’s car heaven where you can live and breath new, old or ravings cars for consecutive days.
I loved speaking to the chief engineer of the DBX707. His academic background is motorsport engineering and used to be the chief engineer of the Exige. Coincidentally he also own an M140i like me. It was interesting hearing him commenting on flaws with damping and rear subframe twisting. The latter being resolved with aluminium sub frame bushings. Lol hardcore.
My most “expensive“ photo is 5 mclaren F1 in the same photos. Worth a combined $150-300m

Note how I have never been to either, just follow it all on the net. FoS definitely is more for the speed and sound from what I can tell, with the hill climb and all. In Monterry, there's a cop wanting to arrest you on every corner just for revving the engine in idle. Correct me if I am wrong lol
FoS is getting better every year lately though, it's grown into something special indeed. But the whole setting in the U.S is just spectacular. FoS is around the corner for me though, so hopefully I will be able to go next year and meet up with you guys!!

Here is a photo of Duke of Richmond. Owner of Goodwood Estate and founder of FOS. He spoke at the unveiling of the M3 Touring, celebrating 50 years of M. He also spanked thr M3 Touring up the Hill.
What a car god. Hopefully the format of FOS won't be changed when he pass away.
What makes FOS different to many other car shows is that the cars aren't there to sit pretty or parade at 5mph. Almost all cars on display are driven hard up the hill.
You see the drivers wheel spinning in the wet not holding back behind the wheel of very rare and super expensive cars.
Hats off to owners who are happy to let racing drivers rag their €0.5-20m cars.
