How cars aerodynamics have advanced in the last 42 years. This is from a 1982 issue of AMuS where they listed the CD factors of cars been sold at the time. Most cars had Cd factors of well over 0.40.

The Porsche 924 Turbo had the best CdA with a combined Cd x Frontal Area value of 0.62 followed by the VW Polo Formula E at 0.63.
