You can’t mention BMW and not talk about the interior quality these days it’s right there at the top. Overall fair test, Lexus just outclassed.

For me, a tough choice indeed between the A6 and the 5er. The A6s' exterior is somewhat more "exciting". But I love the 5ers' interior. In terms of technology offered, driving characteristics, practicality and price, there is really very little between them, it appears. Not that the M-B E-Class isn't a very impressive automobile. It is. It simply does not push my buttons in the looks and interior departments in the relative comparison.

The AUDI looks good but having in mind that it is much heavier and on top of that most of the weight is carried by the front axle.... It' like having the 5er with a block of 200 kg on the front hood. How is that?
The Lexus ES is based on a Camry platform so definitely is not in the league of the Germans when it comes to driving characteristics, refinement and comfort, so I expected it to finish last place in this test. Surprised about the Audi that it managed to sneak a victory here, it seems to drive better than I expected. I like the way it looks and the interior is very impressive. Also surprised that the E-class was judged to have the best steering out of all the cars. Overall a very well judged and comprehensive comparison.
I believe so, the steering on the E class feels sharp smooth and responsive without being too sporty. I like the weighting of the steering feel too. I find the steering ratio on the 5 series a bit slow, and it feels just a hint remote from the road.
