"Audi TT "MOMENT" may refer to "an era introduction" rather than a distinct concept of a future TT replacement. A landmark "moment" for the brand, as were the original "Urquattro" of 1979, the "Aerodynamik-Weltmeister" C3 Audi 100 of 1983, the 1993 ASF concept that became the series I A8 and of course the original TT Coupe concept of 1995. Rumours hinting at a "Cayman EV based PPE EV" do not necessarily mean a 2 seat coupe, as the architecture is scalable and could theoretically accomodate a 2+2 configuration with usable rear seating.

Not being privy to any further information, I'm really just musing, just guessing here. We'll see soon enough.

Yes, Audi said this concept will be very close to production and the goal is to restore the desirable aspect of a two door Coupe/Sportcar.

I'm just excited to see the new design language for the brand as a whole. The new head designer on Insta and he has not posted about any of the terrible Audi released from the past year probably because he dislikes them as well. The only Audi's he has posted have been a RS6, last gen S5, and classic models.

It's a shame this design language won't touch the upcoming Q7 and Q9 which will be horrendous, bloated buses with long front overhangs.

It will take quite some while before the first serial production Audis designed under the supervision of Massimo Fraschella are presented. Mid-to-late 2027 maybe ? There are simply too many delayed "new" products designed under the supervision of Marc Lichte stuck in the pipeline. Unless, of course, Audi AG in Ingolstadt and Neckarsulm manages to spectacularly fasttrack R&D/production processes in the manner often witnessed in China. But hey...Ingolstadt and Neckarsulm are located in Germany and we're talking about...well...Audi. That's about all that I have to say about that.

Thanks for the pics! I find another one and i think this new TT moment 2.0 will have big Auto Union Type D influence. I have big hope for this close to production concept.

This is being pitched as a fundamental shift in Audi exterior design. Hence, the pressure to deliver will be immense. Will they ? Can they ? Will the public accept it ? Can it be accurately translated into serial productton ?

This is an extremely important concept for Audi! They've been testing the prototype based on the Cayman EV for a few months already, so the foundation for Audi will be solid. Additionally, Audi has said that this concept will be very close to the production version, which is planned for 2027. I'm not particularly "excited" for an EV, but the return of a two-seater Audi coupe to the market is a big deal! For me, everything will come down to the exterior and interior design.

Yes, the concept appears to be a two door, judging by this image which may be door shutlines:

However, the Cayman/Boxster EV electric architecture (is it PPE or the SSP evolution of which ?) is reported to be scalable in terms of overall length, wheelbase, width and track. So, at least theoretically, a 4 door coupe could be a remote possibility. After all, Audi has presented 4 door concepts based on the former TT...:

Yes, but Audi has confirmed they will do a two-door EV first. If you look at the EV market, a two-door coupe is practically nonexistent (until the Cayman EV and the MG Cyber GTS arrive next year). So, if they create a sexy-looking electric coupe at a "good" price, maybe Audi is onto something. As for the platform, it's the new generation, so it might be the SSP, you're right. Regarding rivals, the Tesla Roadster will finally be shown at the end of the year, but it will cost €200K, so we can't really say it's the same market.

In this day and age to launch a 2-seater sports car especially as an EV is a big risk for Audi, as the sales of sports cars are not exactly stellar at the moment. I do find it strange that the market for expensive super or hypercars is strong but at the lower end of the market it seems to become a niche market. I think the market has shifted to SUVs and then some saloons and crossovers. Its sad to be honest as the budget sports car is still a big attraction for a fart like me.

I hope Audi brings out a highly attractive concept that will attract alot of positive attention from the public.

What I am currently wondering is whether Audi will actually present a new entrant in the large luxury sedan segment. Things have gone totally silent regarding a successor to the D5 A8. And the Grandsphere concept was presented...4 years ago. Since then...nada. A second-gen etron GT appears highly questionable as well. These should be crucial halo vehicles for the brand.

From what i know the A8 and S8 will have a update next year but no info on successor.

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
