AutoExpress: Audi A3 1.4TFSI vs BMW 116i vs Mercedes A170


^ would anyone really consider the A class to be a luxury car? ...I mean it is a good car, but no more luxurious than a Honda Civic.

It's not an outright luxury car, but it does differ immensely from other cars in this class through the badge and features. I would classify it as a semi-premium car. ;)

It's a pricey car, no doubt, but some people are willing to pay this money because of many reasons. The A-Class comes with good safety ratings, zippy and refined motors, an optional CVT transmission (Autotronic) etc. etc. etc. It's also loaded with technology and other features which make the A-Class unique in its class. So where a Renault Modus or Fiat Panda might be better value for money, they don't come with all the good ratings or goodies as the A-Class does. :usa7uh:
