Even if the M5 Comp was available I doubt it would have won. From the onset CH didn't like the M5 based on looks, so it was already disadvantaged coming into this test and its totally fine to choose a car over the other based on your subjective views. It would have been nice to see a proper track and drag race just to add some objectivity, the fact that the M5 took off first and the E63s somehow managed to overtake shows that it was scripted to support his opinion, but I doubt anybody bought it.

As expected.
I figured somehow CH would choose the E63s over the M5 as a more involving package.
Anyway, these cars have been out for a while now and most everyone here has made up minds on which one suits them best, comments are mostly secondary. If you highly agree with something this far down the line just hit the like button.

Agreed it’s was a fair test from an AMG fan ....but that last part about why he’s not doing comparison tests was a load of BS. Then again I wouldn’t take that comparison test seriously.Very fair and insightful test although this tester seems to have the nickname "Mr. AMG"!

I think his channel would get a lot more views if he ditched that crazy fanboy name. His channel is fairly decent overall, better than most in fact.

Was under the impression that the test was performed on the same day nonetheless it’s still informative thanks for sharing.Interesting observations the more he pushed the E63S the slower it got.
I think I’ve seen enough videos and written reviews of both these cars to conclude that the M5 is a faster car and the preferred choice from most car reviews, but at the end of the day that doesn’t really count it will always be preference ....and for me that’s the M5.

All cars are tuned.
Having owned both cars now I can say from experience the M5 is a hair faster, definitely a softer ride and a more complete car.
That being said I continue to own the E63S.
Why? It’s more practical being an Estate with a family, it’s way more fun to drive and engaging, the engine noise is way better, in my view the Mercedes looks better (M5 is barely discernible from a 5 series) and now I’ve faffed on with tyres, I’ve managed to get the ride quality to acceptable, almost comfy!
If a few days go by and I don’t drive my E63, I genuinely miss it, by far the most emotionally attached I’ve got to a car ever!
That being said I continue to own the E63S.
