Just looked 1st ten minutes of the vid ...
The BMWs (especially the M8 GC) do false starts all the time.
The M5 has downpipe (catless?) and most likely sw tune? This is unfair anyhow.
What puzzles me is, that the M8GC seems to be still a bit faster than the GT63S.
This is unexpected! Either the M8GC also has some modification or the GT63S was not run in yet!
From all other tests/data I know, the GT63S is a bit quicker than the M8GC Comp.!

Correct. A catless downpipe usually requires an engine remap. The outcome is usually more power.
Just looking at the times, the 8GC and M5 CP both have never clocked less than 11sec in most tests, so these cars are not standard one bit. The driver of the GT63S didnt look like he knew how to get an effective launch with the car and seemed to lag in all the videos.

Badging on the M8 in that video says it’s also a competition. The 4.4 V8 is just stronger than the 4.0 V8.

You are judging engines based on different models, but you should compare model vs model. Name me a AMG 4.0l V8 model that is lighter than M 4.4l counterpart?
And AMG is still great:
It menaged to surpass M5 CP at 280km/h with 196kg weight difference and with that stupid fixed wing.
Here M8 CP Coupe did similar numbers compared to GT63 S:

Thanks for the clarity, even more crazy that the standard M8 is faster than the GT63s, but then again we’ve seen what the standard M5 does the the E63S.
You’re comparing times tested on different days, we saw what the M8 coupe did to the GT63S on the carwow same day drag race. We also have seen same day videos of the GT63S lose in every race against the M5/8 consistently, so all these M5/8 are modded and all these people are bias?

That's why it's BS, the GT63 S performs just as good as M5 CP.
And after 250km/h it still surpasses it.
Just the part with standard M8 being faster than GT63 S. Everyone called first carwow E63 S vs M5 BS drag race, I call it with standard M8. And I don't think there is a true 'winner', since data varies from test to test.
