Tell me, any ideas on how to look after such satin-finish metallic paintwork. I mean one wash with a gammy sponge and it'll look like you've taken a pot scourer to it.

Yeah, it'll be damn hard to take care of. It also comes with the disclaimer not to sand the car.

All M3´s I´ve seen so far are white or black..and always driven by smug faces,what can I say?It seems that M3 is high on buying list of pricks and a$$holes (here in Croatia that is the case unfortunately ) with money in pocket and no sense of individuality ..

Ha ha ha...that's true out here as well dude. But I didn't wanna say nothing cuz I used to drive an M3. Except, I was alway humble about it. When I got it, I told NO ONE that I bought it. Some of my friends didn't find out for a few months that I got it. They were like "OMG...why didn't you tell us?" I was like "Cuz I didn't wanna make it a big deal and try to show off, I bought it for myself, not to show it off to others."

And I was always nice with it, I tried teaching my ex and my cousin how to drive a manual in my M3 (LOL) and let a few of my other friends actually drive the car. So, I don't fall under the Douche BMW driver category, but MANY out here do.

Well,then I consider you to be lucky individual ..I mean,to see one of the greatest beemers in so many colors must be great experience and true pleasure to car enthusiast eyesight .I saw 5 or 6 white E92/3 and one black E92 what is unfortunate cause I think that Blue or Red colored M3´s are a delight to see on road..and thats including summer time when many tourists come to my country for R´&´R .

BTW,sorry for going off topic,but I had to share my experience..I hope no one is angry at me for doing so .
