M3/M4 BMW M3 Coupe E92 Picture Thread

The BMW M3 is a high-performance version of the BMW 3 Series, developed by BMW's in-house motorsport division, BMW M GmbH. M3 models have been produced for every generation of 3 Series since the E30 M3 was introduced in 1986. The BMW M4 is a high-performance version of the BMW 4 Series automobile developed by BMW's motorsport division, BMW M, that has been built since 2014. As part of the renumbering that splits the coupé and convertible variants of the 3 Series into the 4 Series, the M4 replaced those variants of the BMW M3.

And for my budding photographer Naruto, here's the link to this photo-set:

2011 bmw m3 (E92) - a set on Flickr

I'm not too sure how familiar you are with navigating flickr, but if you're wanting to get the EXIF data (the photo data) for each photo, just click on a photo, and once the page for that photo loads up, there should be 3 light gray boxes to the top-left of the photo. They should read: Favorite, Actions, Share This (this could be different if you aren't logged in as a flickr member). Click on the Actions button, and a drop-down menu should appear. There should be the following option 'View Exif info'. That will load a new page with all the info you'll need to learn what settings he used for that shot.

Next thing?... go out and try to emulate it in your driveway! :D

Thanks a million my friend Shameel!

:t-cheers:

You're very welcome Giannis. You do a LOT of work posting press releases and the gazillion photos that come with each one, so it's nice to give back this time. :)

Shameel you just forced me ...

I did no such thing! How dare you accuse me of such..... such...... ugh! Whatevrrrrr!!

Just kidding buddy! :D

Yeah, it's hard to resist those photos, they're just incredibly well composed and edited! I got in touch with the owner/photographer and asked him about the location of this great scenic road. Well, ... let's just say... when I find the time for a day out, I'll be heading to the exact same road with my car and camera!
Needless to say, I don't have an M3 *sigh*....but it'll be fun nonetheless! :D

This ain't a mind-blowing photo by any means, but it does make you appreciate the M3 a little more, and the guys who were given the standard E92 and transformed it into the amazing M3!

Makes me feel a tad depressed about my E92 now..... :( :( :(

It makes you realize how much wider the M3 is than the regular 3er coupe.

Thanks a lot!!! I have a photoshoot coming up soon for my internship and I've been practicing with my folk's car. But I'm gonna be shooting a 996 911Turbo, which is HEAVILY modded to deliver CRAZY amounts of power. I want to do that car justice when I shoot it.

Lucky bugger. I'm green. Must've been an epic spectacle. I can't remember if Huayra was there - did you see ... oops OT. Please could you open own thread for your Goodwood experience?

BMW M

BMW M GmbH, formerly known as BMW Motorsport GmbH, is a subsidiary of BMW AG that manufactures high-performance luxury cars. BMW M ("M" for "motorsport") was initially created to facilitate BMW's racing program, which was very successful in the 1960s and 1970s. As time passed, BMW M began to supplement BMW's vehicle portfolio with specially modified higher trim models, for which they are now most known by the general public. These M-badged cars traditionally include modified engines, transmissions, suspensions, interior trims, aerodynamics, and exterior modifications to set them apart from their counterparts. All M models are tested and tuned at BMW's private facility at the Nürburgring racing circuit in Germany.
