Bought my first car

Hello fellow GCFers,

As some of you may be aware I recently graduated and was fortunate to land a job straight out of university. I finally bought my first car in April. It's been many, many years in the waiting and I'm extremely pleased with it. Most importantly, I don't have to spend 2+ hours riding the bus everyday

In Germany, it is badged as the Opel Astra, but here in Canada it is badged the Saturn Astra. Since Saturn is now a defunct brand (closed shop in 2009) I may consider rebadging it an Opel/Vauxhall.

I managed to pick up a great deal on the 18" Penta wheels so these are now my summer wheels while i'll use 17s for winter.

Thanks Gianni's! It's a 1.8L 4 cyl. Not the most powerful but it's practical for my needs and fun to drive thanks to the 5 speed manual transmission.

I'd say go for the rebadge! An Opel must be pretty rare in Canada and if you're lucky you might get away from parking tickets!

Why is that?

I just know how it is here, they write down the plate and make. If they don't match, you can argue that they got the plate wrong. Sometimes they take pictures and then it's a bit harder, but you should always have a set of plates listed as missing.
