M6 BWM M6 - 315 km/h on the Autobahn

The BMW M6 is a high-performance version of the 6 Series marketed under the BMW M sub-brand from 1983 to 2019 (with a hiatus from 1990 to 2004). Introduced in the coupe body style, the M6 was also built in convertible and fastback sedan ('Gran Coupe') body styles for later generations. An M6 model was built for each of the first three generations of the 6 Series. Production of the M6 ended in 2019 and it was replaced by the BMW M8 (F91/F92/F93) in 2019.

Driving on the German Autobahn is some of the most fun you can have as a car enthusiast. Especially if its in an M Drivers Package equipped BMW M6 Gran Coupé.

What's the fastest you have gone?

310 in an RS6.

The M's I have driven were all limited to 250 km/h....sadly, because in an F10 M5 you feel that's where the engine wants to go on!

I wish we had these roads in South Africa. Max speed limit here is 120 km/h. I've set my speed limiter to 155 km/h, so we can hustle a little without being arrested. 160 km/h plus will land you in jail. Anything slower than that gets you a hefty fine, but no arrest..

BMW M

BMW M GmbH, formerly known as BMW Motorsport GmbH, is a subsidiary of BMW AG that manufactures high-performance luxury cars. BMW M ("M" for "motorsport") was initially created to facilitate BMW's racing program, which was very successful in the 1960s and 1970s. As time passed, BMW M began to supplement BMW's vehicle portfolio with specially modified higher trim models, for which they are now most known by the general public. These M-badged cars traditionally include modified engines, transmissions, suspensions, interior trims, aerodynamics, and exterior modifications to set them apart from their counterparts. All M models are tested and tuned at BMW's private facility at the Nürburgring racing circuit in Germany.
