EQS [Concept] World Premiere - Mercedes-Benz Vision EQS

The Mercedes-Benz EQS (V297) is a battery electric full-size luxury liftback car produced by Mercedes-Benz Group and part of the Mercedes-Benz EQ family. It was released in September 2021 in Germany and the fourth quarter of 2021 in the United States.

That seems logical. I sincerely hope that they get this car right, I think that it will determine the path Mercedes takes for its future. Looking forward to it!

Gorden Wagener explains the MB wrap-around effect with a video. :)

"The #VisionEQS provides a look ahead at the interior of coming generations of electric luxury saloons. An integrated interior emerging from the form and organically enveloping the occupants is the new interpretation and advancement of the Mercedes-Benz wrap-around effect."

A brief glance at my account balance suggests that I set my sights considerably lower when "new car time" comes around :cautious:.

But hey...if I squint, there's a bit of that "EQE/EQS Thing" goin' on with the ID 3s' silhouette. And especially around the windscreen.

I'm appreciating the exterior design of this car all the more with each passing photo/video image. Color me "very pleasantly surprised".

Not sure if this was shared; Range 700km+/435+ miles WLTP

2022 Mercedes EQS Electric Sedan To Offer More Than 435 Miles Of Range

I'm becoming increasingly curious with regard to the "design carry-over" from the concept car to the actual production model. It's become clear that the production car will have a somewhat more "conventional" (aka "somewhat longer") bonnet and be shorter, narrower and taller (speculated approx. 5150mm length, 1950mm width and 1420 height). The sideglass graphic on the concept is immaculate and I suppose (regretably) that it will be more cluttered and partitioned on the production car. The rear end on the concept is gorgeous-which leaves me wondering how much of it can and will be translated onto the liftback configurated production car. Recent spyshots have presented prototypes on which the thick plastic camoclad plateau has been removed from the bonnet. As more of the camo is removed, we'll hopefully soon get a better indication of the cars' appearance in its' "wholeness".

@SNB what do you mean by shared range...

@fortuner I meant that I don’t know if this information has been shared but according to Motor1.com, the EQS is suppose to have more than 700km or 435mi range WLTP. Sorry about the confusion.

Is the URL showing up for everyone? I tried to include it and it’s not showing up for me.

Liking the EQS Concept all the more with each passing video it seems. And becoming all the more skeptical with regard to the upcoming production model.

I've watched tens of videos of the Vision EQS, and always got the impression that the concept car is not S-Class length. But this video somehow brings out the dimensions really well. The lines and curves are striking.

Loving the frame less doors on the test car.

Range looks impressive but don’t forget that any carmaker could reach that if they put in a 130kwh battery. I see a start-up with still to be proven distribution model and after sales capabilities. Tesla is really getting bad press on their’ aftersales recently and they are far ahead to Lucid. Too late to the game I would say, so no headache.

That Lucid has been going around in prototype form for years, (more or less like the EQS ;)), promising the gold and silver, as a ruse to capitalize the company, I think they went bankrupt and came back or something then they broke again and now they come out with this but the reality is that nobody knows when it will be on sale or if it will be one day, I do not believe anything
