Amalfi [2027-] Ferrari Amalfi and Amalfi Spider

The Ferrari Amalfi (Type F169M) is a grand touring car set to be released in 2026 as a 2027 model. It has a front mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout. It is the successor to the Ferrari Roma.
Can see that, problem is - more people are still alive who will see a fricken Toyota in this car instead of some retro cues.

Yeah...as an old guy, I regret that many younger car fans are not really all that "tuned in" regarding some genuinely glorious automotive eras of the further past-meaning 1970s and further back. The notion that automobiles are "appliances", "devices" or whatever was not commonplace, if at all existent. Still, I really do try to keep up on what's happening today and what tomorrow may have in store.

Another “new” car that is in reality just another facelifted model….
It seems the only really new models being launced these days are the new EV models. The ICE cars are just being facelifted and facelifted and facelifted…

I think it looks great - inside & out - and it's a good update on the Roma. I was never completely on board with the Roma's nose. For the money - would I buy one? Probably not. There are other cars ahead of this on the imaginary bucket list. Would I be happy with one? Hell yeah - it's a Ferrari FFS and I bet it drives just peachy.

Ferrari are doing some fantastic things with the current model range - I don't see them putting a foot wrong.

Bro, I’m beyond excited! 😍 The Amalfi is coming with a pure V8 and 640hp — no hybrid! Ferrari just nailed it! 🔥

Yeah gotta say, that IS exciting.

So the 296 becomes the bargain Ferrari. At least over here with tax on big engines. I can already see a 100k price gap coming up.

Great update all around, but I'm not so sure about the Prius front. Rear is a huge improvement, as is the door panel.

Honestly, I'd take a NA V8 + Hybrid combo over a turbo V8 anyday. Better sound, and better response. More companies need to take a page out of Bugatti's book.

What car even has a NA V8 hybrid?? Anyways, the NA part is nice, but a hybrid system adds way more weight and complications compared to a turbo, and the latter can also easily be tuned. Not worth it. Pure ICE is better even with a turbo.

A friend got a Cayenne V8 and in normal mode turbo lag is very annoying. His previous 4 e-hybrid was more responsive off the line.

New Ferraris look as bad as their names sound, there hasn't been a good looking Ferrari since the 458 Italia IMO, these new designs evoke no emotion from me , but its hard to argue when it comes to their performance they are a cut above the rest.

Corvette E-Ray comes to mind now that I think about it, but it’s not common. That’s why I said companies need to take a page out of Bugattis book.

Mate Rimac is a true enthusiast who understands that the driving experience is what matters above all, and Turbos hinder that (a lot of the time, not all the time). Since the company is now basically primarily led with the vision of that one man they did things like an NA engine with a Hybrid, analog gauges, while other companies led by boardroom executives allergic to interesting ideas are just throwing their old turbo engines in new cars and either upping the boost or slapping an electric component. I just don’t get why all these new hybrid super cars have Turbos. It is a little unfair to compare to Bugatti, but it isn’t some crazy engineering idea that can only be limited to multimillion dollar cars.
