PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. (August 15, 2025) – This morning, Lexus debuted the Lexus Sport Concept before the crowd enjoying The Quail, A Motorsport Gathering at The Quail Lodge and Golf Club in Carmel, California. The progressively styled, future-focused yet truly authentic sportscar signals the way forward for Lexus design. This inspiring concept car features a wide, low-profile two-door form that blends dynamic and emotional elements into a vision for a next-generation sports car.

looks really good, the exhaust placement is odd for 2 reasons

1) why is under the retractable wing
2) for what is likely a front-mid engined car, why does it need to be placed so high? I understand the need to maintain as much real estate below to maximize the space for a rear diffuser, but wouldn't side exit exhausts make more sense? Instead, if they do keep this set-up for the production model, this would eat into rear cargo space. Granted, cargo space probably isn't a priority, and this is after all a concept so there are liberties.

That is one sexy car. Toyota and Lexus, I think are relishing this moment of confusion. This is clearly not the same car Toyota has been testing. Or is it the Lexus version of the same car Toyota is testing? Either way it's a stunner. AMG's Track Sport is going to have be a knockout.

Given the fact that this is only a design concept , and there is absolutely no tehnical data about it , my guess is that it could be a hybrid , that when it's in track mode , the wing pops out , revealing the exhaust ...I don't know...

It's stupid in any way shape or form you think about it.

It looks like the exits of the "exhaust" are closed.

Based on the length of the car being close to the Toyota GT and longer than the Lexus Electrified Sportscar concept and there being vents aft of the front wheel and on the rear fender similar to the Toyota GT, I'd bet it's going to get a V8, probably hybridized.

EDIT: perhaps there is some sort of engine there to motivate the concept car, hence the plugged up exhaust? Also, I initially thought that he diamond-shaped panel with the fans may be for cooling (possibly batteries or the transaxle transmission), but it looks more like a drone, which if it is, is just a bit silly.

Yeah, that's sensational.
Only hope they get rid of the Peugeot-esque detailing below the headlights, which is unnecessary and distracting

Still hope the production car is a Toyota GR, but I doubt it now....

Definitely the same car.

This is not the same car that was spied testing apparently, and if you look at side by side pics they do actually differ a lot.
