Mclaren 720s vs 911 GT2RS (AMS)

In two weeks time, in AMS, comparison test between the two cars. I guess there wont be any surprise for the lap time...

Wow it's going to be the match up of the year, probably 2 of the finest supercars out at the moment.

Hopefully there will be laptimes. If the GT2 RS uses the normal cup 2 tyres (not the new R tyres) and the 720S the optional Trofeo tyres the lap times will be very similar.

Has there been any test of the 720S up to date, where it was equipped with semi-slick tyres? I am not aware of any. Can you order one with semis officially?

I think all the tests of the 720s until now has been with Corsas. It would be interesting to see what it could do with the optional Trofeos, and these would have the same grip as the normal Cup 2 (not the new Cup 2 R)

So far the 720S has been on Corsas in every test, so I would be surprised if there was any difference here.

Yes, but because it's AMuS the layout will probably be the GP-track. Kleiner Kurs is for their sister-mag Sport Auto.

The GP circuit will at least make it a bit more interesting, the Short circuit would just be a glorified tyre test. I still think the GT2 RS will get the faster time though.

Jesus Christ, 0-300 kph of the 720S is even better than what Sportscars managed, even with 2 p. onboard (19,2 vs 19,4 s)...
