E-Class Mercedes-Benz E-Class All Terrain (X 213)

The Mercedes-Benz E-Class is a range of executive cars manufactured by Mercedes-Benz in various engine and body configurations. Produced since September 1953, the E-Class falls as a midrange in the Mercedes line-up, and has been marketed worldwide across five generations.
I have grown affection for this car. It's a class act but the price kills my spirit for owning one. The asking price is above the GLE and other SUVs in the same class.

Those particular wheels don't match at all, but besides that, it looks very nice, especially in Red :)

Put a ski rack on it, and it's mint!

Here is one with ski rack. It's Mint! It looks even better in real.

The All Terrain has all the luxury and handling of a true W213 E class sedan with the bonus of 4matic and the extra space of an Estate.

It has the looks of a classic MB Estate and can do snow without chains and tow as well. I was able to fit three large suitcases at the back and pull up the cargo net for safety.

It drives like a car and corners and handles much better than a 4WD. After a hard day of skiing, not having a high 4WD to load the skis and luggage is a blessing. It’s a winner!

This should have been sold in the U.S. It would sell now.

Amongst cheap FWD XC90s and other SUV in the US, the All-Terrain would look uncompetitive and difficult to appreciate.

Do you have winter tyres on it? Is the ride height adjustable?

Such an astute motoring choice - the thinking man's all-roader - and it looks fantastic. Great car you have there.

No it wouldn't, the E400 wagon already cost thousands more then those wagons now. The E63 wagon even more so. Price is not an object when looking for a Benz wagon. They are Benz's wealthiest customers.

MBUSA told me the “all-weather” wagon form has its price limits. Volvo must agree to degree, given the V90 CC loses its gray cladding if you select the nicer options. It still has the increased ground clearance compared to the normal V90 model, but the cladding is painted body color.

Well I don't believe it. They would move a few more units if they offered it IMO.

They're non winter tyres. There was no wheel spin on the icy road but was traveling slowly. The car was at "All Terrain Mode" and raised an extra 30mm when below 35km/h
