Mercedes has finally opened up a Manufaktur studio for its handcrafted interiors for its various models. I hope this will bring alot more bespoke wood and leather/fabric trims etc. to Mercedes upper models.

It astonishes me just how much more appealing I find the "non-Maybach" selection.

Naturally attractive individuals do not need cheap jewelry, excessive makeup or gaudy clothing to look beautiful. Especially that Maybach SL is simply vulgar and tacky, while the Manufaktur "standard" R232s are gorgeous.

Tragic that that SL680 is not a V12. Why they don’t offer the full Manufaktur catalog on the SL680 is beyond me.

Agreed, but I guess in the current climate (both figuratively and literally), they can't deploy the V12 in any more vehicles than they already do. Unless of course they can find a way to drastically revise the M279 to be far more efficient.

Sure, it is really nothing more than vapourware...

...but this exercise by Georgian independant automotive illustrator Georgi Tedoradze looks tremendous IMHO. In AMG.EA form, this could complement the upcoming 4 door GT BEV appropriately.
