Hot! Mercedes-Benz, What's Next?

It's hard to understand people. You won't miss this car, but you praised its design. The GLC isn't ugly; it's just not different. We're back to the same old story. Different doesn't mean good. BMW defended its kidneys and other negativity, but now it's on a completely different path. It seems to have found its way.

I wouldn’t say the design is ordinary or basic, it’s just plain ugly. If we get rid of the huge grille and the taillights, it’s still an ordinary Mercedes SUV with boring body lines and the same old design details. They’ve been using that same front bumper design for I don’t even know how many years now. The interior is the only thing that looks good about it. Other than that it’s a total mess. It’s mind boggling to me that some people likes the way it looks.
For me, the exterior design is ugly and unimpressive. The interior is quite impressive, but I don't think I would choose this vehicle, which has a weak exterior. Next to the iX3, it looks like it was designed 5-6 years ago.

BMW's NK design has got on your nerves a lot, you can't hide it. You accept every criticism that comes to Mercedes as if it has come to you and go on the attack. Sorry Furkan, BMW has gone to a different level with NK.
If I put a BMW emblem on a horse-drawn carriage, you'd like that too. That's why it's impossible for you to understand what I'm sayın 🤣

Oh my goodness, after criticizing BMW's massive kidney grille, I have to immediately defend myself against criticizing an even more massive Mercedes grille because I'm a huge Mercedes fanboy. :D

It's enough that it looks like a Mercedes. This must be the right way to criticize the EQ models. But it's still being criticized. It's very strange

Great interior ruined by a fugly exterior MB should’ve done better and it would have been a rock star

You might not know it because you're a kid. Mercedes grilles used to look huge. And they're not squirrel-faced like BMW kidneys. You have a lot to learn.

BMW must have designed NK because it had lost its way.
It had “lost” its way and its the best selling brand out of the German trio. Their radical (or ugly to some) designs was one of the main reasons they outsold Mercedes and Audi because they attracted the younger buyers and ones that wanted something different/cool. It’s not only related to design but also to reliable engines, great tech, and overall great packaging. This utter fanboy stuff is so funny to me.

Why do you even speak on people’s behalf saying “you won’t miss these cars”? So weird. Both iX and 7er are great cars, latter being the best generation out of all the past generations, and actually giving the S-Class a hard time, maybe even outselling it, which was not the case for many years.
Just because this era didn’t please your lovely eyes doesn’t necessarily mean they were “ugly”. The Neue Klasse era was finished years ago, even when the “ugly” models were getting introduced to the world.
Just go ahead and defend your horrid looking GLC. I hope they give you one for free, smh.

The G11 S-Class had a harder time selling. The W223 is 5 years old and hasn't received a facelift. G70 sales have declined in its second year.

To me, current generation 7er is a much better car overall. Past generations just looked like longer 5-Series models, which I wasn’t a fan of. G70 is definitely a proper flagship now, both design and technology-wise. It looks more upmarket than the S-Class too.
While the current S-Class looks flawless it just doesn’t look like a flagship, more like a LWB E-Class.
They better not mess it up with the facelift, I don’t want to be disappointed again like I currently am with this new GLC.

For generations, the S-Class has looked like the larger Mercedes sedan. The W223 is a fantastic design, and so was the 222. No one seems to mind. Neither did BMW customers. Now, with the NK design language, the cars will look more similar. Is that a problem for you?
