Hot! Mercedes-Benz, What's Next?

I’m yet to see a CLE in here, but looks like they sell well outside Turkiye.
They're super popular in the UK.
Really good looking car. Always striking when I see even the 220d ones around. And while the interior isn't the best, given BMW massively downgrading the interior for the 3/4er with the facelift, it's not that big of a difference now.

I mean it's a really nice car. But BMW makes up for it with the i5

It looks really good indeed. My neighbor has the 53 AMG version, looks so good with the wider body. He owns an E-Class cabrio as well. I posted the CLE on here a while ago. I also believe I saw one in matte black, but other than that I’ve never seen one. 4 Series is the popular choice here in Turkiye. In both Coupe and GC format.

I'm surprised the EQE SUV is close to the iX and the CLE outsells the 4 series.
The EQE SUV is a surprise, the CLE not.

Here in Switzerland the CLE is very popular, but for E-Coupe customers it’s a downgrade.

Especially in the interior, but not regarding the space.

I’ll most likely not change my A238 for a A236.

But I don’t know If I’ll add one.

It shares the same interior with the C, so I don’t really buy the “replacement for C and E coupe” nonsense. It’s basically the new generation C-Coupe.

To me it looks more upscale and expensive than the C coupe but not as upscale as the old E Coupe. The I6 options are its biggest calling card because the interior is C. It was clever to make it the size it is interior wise. It just needs the E interior, or better yet its own interior that borrows from both E and C like the CLK did, with unique touches that nor E or C have.

The interior isn’t that bad actually.

There’s space and the seats are comfortable, but there are a lot of hard plastic surfaces.

It’s also cheaper than the E was.

If I compare it with my designo E, it feels really cheap though.

The EQE SUV wasn’t too bad actually imo. It was the best looking of the EQ vehicles imo, admittedly a low bar but still. I would love to be a fly on the wall in the deepest halls of Mercedes right now. You’re pretty much cancelling 4 vehicles in the USA. Youch. Never seen anything like this from any other car maker. The crazy part is that EQ owners I’ve talked to love their cars.

I am not surprised.

I had one as a loaner. EQE500 SUV.

It was really a good car.

Felt like a Mercedes Benz should, very comfy and quiet, and the 10° RWS was absolutely bonkers.

The materials are okay, but of course worse than a W214.

It’s comparable with the current EQC ICE, drives very similar, but at a higher price point.

It's surprising how just a few extra soft touch surfaces can transform an interior. It is for this reason the GLC feels nicer than the C, with it's soft touch lower dash and transmission tunnel.

Why they used the cheaper C materials on the CLE just doesn't make any sense to me.
