Exactly one year has passed since my last update.
In the mean time I've gathered circa 72.000 kilometer/45.000 miles.
What attracted my attention?
First of all, the navigation system (part of Comand) is quiet a step back from the pre FL system. I'm almost sure Mecredes-Benz changed a few aspects since the 2013-2017 pre FL W222. Mapping and location data and related services are from HERE, as far as I know. Navigation is adventurous to put it mildley, completely insane to be more clear. The silliest routes are recommended, which almost everytime consume more time than necessary. It often advices detours, which are totally unnecessary. Nowadays I'm using navigation on very rare occasions; if I really haven't got a clue where I am.
Live traffic information is a desaster as well. It shows traffic jams (and navigates around them
) where there are no traffic jams at all. Most annoying...
The engine consumes oil. That's unusual for a diesel. the first 50.000 kilometer a liter extra about every 8.000 kilometer. Since the 50.000 km inspection it only asked once for an extra liter of oil, after about 20.000 kilometer. It's getting better, so it seems.
The positives? Well, I think you all know them...
