Could not have said it better myself.

M3 all the way. The 1M is a 135 M sport with some M3 bits and pieces. Also, it looks quite ridiculous with those creases everywhere.

Love the looks of the 1M. And it's a touch glib to accuse the 1M of being no more than a 135i Sport. We know there's a bit more to it than just that.

My choice? Well it's kinda obvious by now isn't it?

Tough one, the M3 could well be the closest competition for the 1M.

maybe it's the 1st generation of the 1M so i actually think it feels more special... but then honestly, the E92 looks way better, just that it's much more of a heavy cruiser too.. the 1series is nevertheless a design debuted in 2004, E92 was at least 1-2 years down the line.. so it's natural.

I prefer the look of the 1M, and 1er coupe over the 3er coupe in general. The 3 is almost too refined-looking IMO.

If you read between the lines, they think 1M is a better sportscar than M3 but they think the V8 engine is more special and therefore give the nod to M3.

Now, if they could have thrown the S65 motor in the 1M, that would REALLY be phenomenal.

I really liked the part in the video where they talk about the swansong of the "naturally aspirated high-revving engine" and that M3 E9X is the last of its breed.
