911 New Porsche 911 Turbo (992) Spyshots

The Porsche 911 model series (pronounced Nine Eleven or in German: Neunelf) is a family of German two-door, high performance rear-engine sports cars, introduced in September 1964 by Porsche AG of Stuttgart, Germany.

I love that they have seemingly kept the launch color dark grey. As much as I hate seeing droves of vehicles wearing this dull uninspiring color at every street corner, in every dealership, in every other commercial, I just think it suits the 911 Turbo like a tailored glove. You just want to see this gloomy colored menacing state-of-the-art German weapon cutting through the mist and effortlessly ripping the wet Autobahn tarmac to pieces with its four sticky driving wheels on a dark dismal overcast day.

I don't think that colour is dark grey. Porsche's dark grey is Agate Grey and that's not it. Mor...

It may well be, or perhaps a new slightly darker grey that sits in-between GT Silver and Agate Grey. Either way, my point is that they seem to have sticked to a variation of grey, i.e. a relatively dull discreet faceless non-color that's indeed ultimately 911 Turbo, as the ruthless cold-blooded asphalt eating missile that it is. As opposed to the more theatrical bright exotic paints that are perfectly suited for the 911 GT models.

As mentioned here before it looks wider than the regular 911. Maybe my memory doesn't serve me well but I remember when the 992 was presented, they said that there will be only one width of the body.

The color in the launch video is definitely GT silver. I know because mine is GT silver (that color I believe started on the Carrera GT and that's in part why I got it)

Wonder why they have tape over the air intake, could this be a Carrera sport classic, or Carrera RS prototype instead?
