I will be having this with lunch today.

The Tweet has been deleted by Trump, but here it is along with people saying it's not true.

When who comes from other countries? When who comes from a place of oppression?

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was born in New York.

Ayanna Pressley was born in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Rashida Tlaib was born in Detroit, Michigan.

Disagreeing with these women is not racist. Telling them to "go back to their own countries" when they were born in America, is.

You should be utterly ashamed of yourself, Montana. Your comments are a disgrace and I want nothing more to do with you. Just crawl back into the racist cesspit you call home. (y)

The tweet has got it wrong; the 81 % is actually white on white murders. I'll grant you that. It was deleted though, yes? And of every point you've made by the way, this is the only one that sticks so far. Job well done.

By the way, saying "why don’t they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came. Then come back and show us how it is done" is not the same as telling someone to simply "go back to their countries". It's more of a "if you think you're so good and this place is so bad, why don't you fix the place you initially came from before you change this country?". Some quotes from these women are seriously batsh*t crazy!
I gave you one of them in my previous post (but you're not pointing out the racism there which is ironic) and there's more where that came from. But guess their quotes don't matter, huh? Even when they are arguably way worse than the tweets of the president!

Because f*ck Trump is always priority #1.

I assume btw he's pointing primarily at Ilhan Omar (from Somalia I believe) and perhaps Rashida Tlaib (born in USA yes, but to Palestinian immigrants). Both of these are familiar with broken governments. And no one said they're not American.....

PS: You really should be more careful with calling people racist, that's a pretty heavy thing to throw at someone. Especially when you have no clear cut evidence. Since you've stated that you're done with this conversation (in such a classy manner I might add) I presume there'll be no reply. Just a friendly reminder to please stop the name calling and wild accusations. :)

Like many other Tweets Trump has made over the last few years, all deleted, but long after his racist voter-base has seen them and retweeted them. The job has been done.

"Go back". How can someone "go back" somewhere when they never came from that place in the first place? They're AMERICAN!!! "From which they came"? Are you for real? What part of being born in America and being American by nationality do you not understand?!

You really are an utter piece of s***. Just f*** off with your racist comments.

That couldn't be more racist. At all. Adding the suffix "but to Palestinian immigrants", to someone who IS American, born in America and identifies as American, and using that to hint that they're not proper Americans.

I've got two examples from your last post alone. You're the worst kind of racist. Someone who doesn't even admit it. At least KKK members will openly admit they're racist.

You're happy to make racist comments with no shame, and you're worried about "name calling"? Just un-f***ing-believable.

You have no shame. I just wish more people would see your posts so they know what a reall low-life you are.

@Betty Swollocks, I've fixed your multi-quote.. but, if you really have to... bash out those personal insults into the text input box... read them back, feel better for having typed it, then delete them from the text, and then, and only then, click Post Reply. Stick to your points of fact - trying to reinforce arguments by throwing insults into the mix doesn't help ANY point you are trying to make, and may well result in a thread ban. The culmination of a well made argument isn't the right to call someone an "utter piece of ****", it's to leave the opposing opinion with nowhere else to go but to concede your point.

The thread is free for everyone to see. So don't worry about it.

I didn't at all suggest that anyone should go anywhere - re-read my post. I was trying to point out the distinction.

Rep. Omar isn't born in the USA and my point regarding Rashida Tlaib was that her family has experience coming from a region which sadly has a non-functional government basically. I never ONCE stated they are not "proper" Americans, what the hell? And what part of my post(s) has been racist??

Obviously you cannot read my posts properly, or my English sucks. I'd also like to add that if I was representing the KKK I wouldn't be very welcome for obvious reasons. Let's see if you are able to understand what I'm really trying to say.....

You've also failed to acknowledge the outright racist tweet from Rep. Omar. So I guess racism is fine as long as it's aimed at one specific country huh?;););)

Either way, now I think I AM done. Hope your outbursts satisfy you because your posts here don't leave you looking very good. You are one angry individual, I'll say.

Virtue signaling at its finest.

Sorry I just couldn't help myself; what part of stating that someone is born to Palestinian immigrants is racist when it's part of the point, which is that her family has experience from a region with war and a government that's not exercising capitalism and free will?

I never said I wanted her or anyone to "go back". Another straw man from you (which there are many of in this thread). I honestly don't care if someone stays, go to another country, go on vacation, or just sit at home watching Netflix.

You also sure seem to know a lot about hints, institutional racism, putting words in people's mouths and laying out straw men. Even when it's all 100 % unsupported by evidence.

Thanks for fixing it. I didn't notice there was anything wrong with it.

It's hard to leave out the insults when you're trying to point out what somebody is saying is racist, and yet it's just not sinking in. Not only that, I'm called a "virtue signaller". What a sad state of affairs.

But why are you trying to point out the distinction when Trump didn't make ANY distinction? You're making a point about something that didn't happen. He said...

  • "Why don’t they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came".

He never said anything about where their family came from, or where their parents came from. It was where THEY came from, despite the fact they were born in America and are American citizens. He wouldn't have said that if there names were "Smith" and they were white. He either KNEW they were American but still said it anyway, or just as bad, didn't know they were actually born in America and just guessed because their names are foreign and they aren't white. THAT IS RACIST, and my mind boggles that you can't grasp this!!

Do you think if Bruce Willis was critical of Trump, do you think he'd tell HIM to go back to where he came from? Unlike three of the Congresswomen, Bruce Willis wasn't even born in the U.S. and had a German mother.

Trump himself has a Scottish mother and German paternal grandparents. How does that differ greatly from these women? Would anybody tell HIM to "go back from where he came"? Of course they wouldn't because he's WHITE.

You've also failed to acknowledge the outright racist tweet from Rep. Omar. So I guess racism is fine as long as it's aimed at one specific country huh?;););)

No it's not fine, and ANY racism is clearly wrong. But responding to accusations that the American President is racist by saying "yeah, but they said racist things too" is not a good look.

Either way, now I think I AM done. Hope your outbursts satisfy you because your posts here don't leave you looking very good. You are one angry individual, I'll say.

You're the one defending racist behaviour and showing yourself to lack moral fibre, and yet I'm the one who "doesn't look good".

As for being a "virtue signaller". What a bizarre comment to make when the virtue is standing up to racism. Exhibiting what ANY decent human being should do without question is seen as virtue signalling now.

Sorry I just couldn't help myself; what part of stating that someone is born to Palestinian immigrants is racist when it's part of the point, which is that her family has experience from a region with war and a government that's not exercising capitalism and free will?

Because Trump never said anything about her family. It was the women themselves who should go back to where they came from!! How can they go back when they were born in America!! Seriously, this is not difficult to grasp!

You're defending Trump who said they should go back to where they came from.

I feel grubby just reading your posts @montana.

Totally agree with you. It serves no purpose other than to unduly alienate people and create discord among members. I don't care for it one bit.

Creating "discord" amongst members I agree with. It's why I agree politics should not be discussed on this forum, period.

I don't agree with "unduly alienates people", however. @montana has brought this on himself and if it allows a light to be shone on (and I'm giving montana the benefit of the doubt here) naive and unintentionally offensive viewpoints, then it's a good thing.

@montana and @Betty Swollocks - I feel that this thread serves no purpose any longer (I never thought it did in the first place).

Any objections from either of you to us closing this thread for replies?

I'd be happy if ANY mention of politics, be that Brexit, Angela Merkel, or Trump, be forbidden explicitly. There's enough bad vibes in the real world. We don't need them where people come to escape, such as this forum.
