I am actually surprised by how well the Ghibli is doing here in Sydney, mostly driven by young kids who thinks the E class and the 5 series are too old for them, and the C class and 3 series are too cheap and too common for them.

In the Netherlands and Belgium it's doing well as well. My remark was directed at the much worse than average reliability.

After reading countless glowing reviews about the Giulia, my hopes for the future of Maserati are optimising. The next Ghibli or maybe even the facelift one, is bound to inherit or improve on the Alfa's talents.

Regarding reliability. It's no secret that Maserati's aren't the best. A friend of mine recently backed out of buying a used GranTurismo because depreciation is shockingly steep, maintenance expensive and repair bills regrettable.

It's shocking but lets be honest, no-one buys a Maserati on the premise of value-for-money. You buy one purely because of lust for the exhaust note, badge and Italian personality.
