There was no sedan for the B8, apparently only the B7 had one. From an historical point of view, the A4 based RS is an estate and I don't think it will change for this generation.

Well coupe is a bit different kind of thing. And there's coming the RS5 Sportback to fulfill the blank space.

That’s probably it ..they have the wagon, coupe , convertible and RS5 Sportback to fill the gap of the sedan would be too much redundancy.BMW offers the M3 sedan,but not the the M4GC.

Auto Zeitung already made the test against the Alpina B3... in case it has not been posted in the scans section (which I can't display at the moment), here are the results:

I'm gonna have a close look tomorrow as i don't have the issue in my hands currently but i remember it was very close and Alpinas always get many points in AZ's rating system for their unlimited topspeed

By the way, could you make also a fast pictures of the Data charts (accelerations,...) or there is nothing more to show than what you previously wrote. Any noise data (they say in the conclusion that the Alpina is quieter) ?

@ 50kph: 61 dB
@ 100kph: 65 dB
@ 130kph: 69 dB
Alpina B3S:
idle: 48 dB
@ 50kph: 61 dB
@ 100kph: 66 dB
@ 130kph: 70 dB

They may say that the Audi's engine is more present, but I think it isn't meant in a negative way, just that it sounds sportier inside, unlike the muted Alpina.
There also isn't much more interesting test data than what I wrote before, I think
