The first pictures of the new facelifted Audi Q5 have hit the web a little earlier than the German auto maker would have liked.
Changes are only minor in comparison to the original model that has been on the market since 2008. The visual updates include a redesigned bumper, a revised grille and restyled headlights while the rear looks virtually identical.

Audi has put a little extra effort into the updates under the model's posterior. According to reports the 3.2-liter V6 FSI has been replaced with a more efficient supercharged 3.0-liter V6 from the Audi S4, albeit de-tuned to around 272PS (200kW/268hp). Those looking for the full 329PS (245kW/329hp) will have to wait until the end of the year when the SQ5 is unleashed.

The timing of this leak suggests the 2013 Audi Q5 facelift will be officially unveiled in Beijing on Monday, but the German manufacturer has already announced three world debuts for the event, none of which included the Q5.
I guess we'll find out the full story in a few days time.

I love that they kept the changes minimal! The car still looks very well designed and sleak.

I actually think that I like the current rearlights better then the new ones.

The coming 3.0T with the 329hp wull sure be my next car! Can't wait for more pics!

Very risky by Audi. No changes gives existing owners with expiring leases no reasons to buy the face lifted model, and neither does it give hesitates a reason to buy the car.

As an owner of the Q5, my biggest reason is the new engines. The 3.0T with 272hp and defenitely the upcoming Q5 S with 329hp is all the reason I need to switch cars.

Limiting the changes to subtle means existing owner won't lose as much as they might have if changes had been major and since the car was already perfect it didnt need much freshening to the design. I'm more interested in the 313hp 3.0BiTDi.

Minimal changes for the interior. Audi should start making that wood trim available for the U.S.
As far as I can see, I only see a different stearing wheel, and the volume button is placed more down.

Waiting for more pics!!

One thng I wonder, is when you want to upgrade your 2011 Q5 to a 2013 Q5, with the front lights, grille, bumper and rear lights, if you have to change the hood, since the grille shape on top is little different.

God I love this car.

Yet to see the S-Line package, I wonder what effect it will have visually on the car because even without it the Q5 has taken on a much sporty appearance in my eye.

I swear I don't see what changed here???
M
Man..c'mon.

Yeah, it looks very good even without the S-Line package, so I wonder too what it will look like with.

I really like the older lights better then the new ones! Seriously! I'm really surprised that Audi didnt do more with the lights, to give them a more aggressive look.

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
